"Yeah... But it ain't like some on-off switch where feelings can only exist for one person at a time or nothing. I mean--maybe that ain't what you meant, but...still." She shifts a little before letting out a sigh and actively lightening her demeanor.

"Sorry, I know you don't wanna talk about this crap. I just want you to be happy... So I should shut up and let you be, right?"

"I AM happy," she says, with a crooked smile.

"... seems like maybe you're not, though. And I never said it was like-- on off switches or nothin. He just makes you real happy, I can tell. And you got a history together... so spending more time with him definitely makes sense.

I'm not sad or upset or lonely most times. Knowing I got people that love me even when they're not around, an' that they say so-- that warms me up a whole lot."

"Most times..." Her answering expression is more 'crooked' than 'smile,' but she just nods. It's not as though she has any sort of counterargument.

She-- frowns, slightly. Maybe looks troubled, for a second... are her ears a little pointier? Hard to tell under all that hair.

She huffs, and says, "It's good, dude. Everything's... like, perfect. I want things to be like this 'til I finally kick it."
