[ Doubling up? Doubling up. He's wincing, though, and just sort of begging the forge to pull its punch, so maybe that's why he gets — something mostly innocuous. Yeah, he's afraid in the memory, but that fear is incredibly undercut by two of the ladies in the party very audibly psychoanalyzing his willingness to let his feelings show in front of them.
