You wake up in a typical Japanese high school classroom to the sound of a bell.

You are dressed in one of two uniforms* (*Please button up your jacket properly!) - whichever your character would feel most comfortable in. The bell was apparently the signal for the end of classes for the day, because everyone else is getting up from their desks and mingling with their friends, making the motions of preparing to leave without quite going yet.

Among them is Izanagi, surrounded by a small group of students and chattering away energetically. There are two exits, one at the front of the room and one at the back, both of which lead to the hallway. On the other hand, if you want to try understanding what you’re doing here, this is probably the best opportunity to talk to Izanagi or talk to your classmates. You can also, of course, find each other and compare notes. There’s a bag hooked on the side of each of your desks, and inside are the typical supplies you would expect most students to carry: writing utensils and notebooks. These can be used, or not, as you please.

† Your school supplies may be used to take notes. If you’re in the same area as another player, you may talk and exchange information.
† You do not have your phone. Welcome to the late 90s.
† Anyone with corruptions will find that they have faded or otherwise been swapped with something sufficiently explained by odd fashion (i.e. a horned headband, or a tie-on tail). Good thing the school hasn't penalized you, eh?

[Izanagi - or Hizumi, as his classmates refer to him here - seems right at home among the crowd, talking about the latest episode of some TV show. He does notice if you approach, however!]

Hey! Are you heading out already?

[He looks like he’s planning to hang around for a bit if you want to talk to him.]

There’s quite a few students lingering around the classroom. A few are clearly packing up their bags to head out to club activities, but you’re one of their classmates; it wouldn’t be too hard to get someone’s attention to talk if you’re trying to figure out what’s going on.

[The school nurse is at her desk when you arrive, tapping away at a keyboard, the off-white CRT computer monitor showing some old database system. However, she stops and locks the screen when you enter, closing a manila file with a few stray corners of pages sticking out. Another one of those posters is hanging from the wall, although a small desk calendar indicates the date is June 21st.]

Oh- yes? Are you feeling ill?

No matter which exit you choose, the hallway is more or less the same. There’s some students mingling out here too, as well as posters pasted to the wall at regular intervals. Judging by the room signs, your classroom was 1-A. Respond to this toplevel for general hanging out/talking to other PCs in the hallways.

There are many students making their ways through the hallways. You can question the students here all you like; they’ll stop if you try to get their attention.

The library is well-stocked and quiet, with only small groups of students murmuring to each other as they navigate the shelves. The shelves are more or less what you would expect: General, Philosophy, History, Social Sciences, Natural Sciences, Technology and Engineering, Industry and Commerce, Arts, Language, and Literature. There are also tables for students to read and work on homework at, with many of the seats already taken. Large windows provide a view of the cityscape outside. Tag here for exploring the shelves or talking with other PCs, but do be sure to keep quiet.

There are students around the library, including one manning the library desk. Perhaps they’re the student librarian? At any rate, you can speak to them if you wish, but the students here are largely studying and it might be harder to pull them away from that.

The only students out here are the ones heading home immediately after school. You may speak with them, or you can use this top level to gather and talk with other PCs.

[There is a couple of parents waiting by the gates of the school, chatting and laughing softly to themselves. If characters approach, they’ll wave to flag them down.]

Ah- hello! You’re one of Hizumi’s classmates, aren’t you?

Going outside of the school gates, there’s actually a... is that a private bus? It looks pretty fancy and is obviously sticking out. There’s an elderly but clean-cut chauffeur waiting by driver’s seat door, and emblazoned on the side are the words “JAPAN RADIO TOWER”.

Hizumi...?

[ He understands the objective to all of this. But this setting is so strange... ]

I... was just a little confused. What are you doing?

[Sekhmet looks very cute in her sailor fuku.]

Oh, no, not yet. I didn't see that episode, was it good?

...Talking with our classmates?

[What else would he be doing.

Some of the other students seem to be talking about grabbing drinks from the vending machine while they hang out after school, and it drags Hizumi's attention back to them.]

Ah- I can go grab them. But everyone's going to need to pool in their money.

[There's some teasing remarks about it not being free, but people are already ponying up coins.]

What about you, Kija? Want something?

Oh, ah, hello. School, am I right?

Totally! Did you see the hero's last stand? ...Not that I believe for a second that they killed him off for real, but it was awesome to see him up against so many enemies at once!

[Most of the chatter is still about the show, but some people are starting to make noises about dropping by the vending machine to collect drinks so they can continue their hangout.]

Oh... I can probably grab them, as long as everyone pays up. Hey Sekhmet, do you want something?

Huh? Uhh... Yeah?

[The group of girls Sekhmet has encountered don't look all that impressed. Although there's something weird about their faces...?]

I--

[ Wait. He tries to reach for a phone AND HE DOESN'T HAVE ONE. Oh. ]

I do not think I have a means of accessing my points.
