Rules

[personal profile] bondsofsuffering 2021-12-30 08:18 pm (UTC)(link)
✣ All characters are reduced (or lifted up to) ordinary, healthy humans. This means that animal ears become human ears and all unit abilities as well as above-human strength, etc. are removed. However, characters who are ordinarily ill are now perfectly healthy. For characters with disabilities, it's the player's choice how this manifests, but generally speaking your character is able to get around comfortably with basically zero pain or physical discomfort.

✣ Characters have their phones! However, the only thing they can do is display a game.

✣ Characters are able to meet and interact with each other if they are in the same area, although their hangman screen is blocked by mosaics if they try to show each other the results. Any attempts to describe locations of correct or incorrect letters or other events involved with obtaining them will be censored by black boxes, a censorship beep, etc. for all parties within range who have not already obtained it as well.

Once a character leaves their starting room, their phone chimes. The screen seems to be locked to the below with no ability to make alterations or inputs:

HANGMAN

How to play:
✏ Collect secret characters to create the password to unlock the ultimate clue!
✏ Characters will be automatically added when you find them, so go explore!
✏ Collect five incorrect characters, and you get a hangman - and you lose!
✏ Certain “events” may be skipped. Instead, everything will be handled for you - isn’t that convenient?

Noé's House

[personal profile] bondsofsuffering 2021-12-30 08:24 pm (UTC)(link)
[O wakes up in a sturdy, if old fashioned bed. At a first glance, the room seems to be part of an old, but well-kept building - there’s a certain elegance in the make of the furniture, with lots of richly colored wood and metal fastenings stained with age. There’s all the pieces a good room could use present: a wardrobe full of modern clothes in just his size, a writing desk with ink and pens and stationary neatly laid out, as well as an elegantly carved clock hanging on the wall. There are wooden photo frames portraying O and the various members of AlcheME! atop the desk. Everyone in those photos wears regular modern clothing, and none are of occasions he could possibly recall.

Exploring his house - yes, house - will make it clear that his room is on the second floor, with a (working) master bathroom attached. Down the hall is a rec room; there’s a wooden jukebox in one corner, and a pool table in the center, along with wooden armchairs for people to watch the ongoing game. It’s all very classy. Should he go down the stairs to the first floor, he’ll find a comfortable living room including a chaise and leather armchairs positioned near a fireplace for conversation, a dining room, and a large kitchen with its own island. Much like his room, photos of various alcheME! and O can be found framed around the whole of the house. But...

Actually, on closer examination, the make of the whole house seems to be cheap and shoddy in some way. Wood is actually plastic, and on the first floor many of the cabinets and the fridge itself in the kitchen are sealed shut. The clothes are cheaply made fast fashion that wouldn’t hold up through more than a few washes, and the photos seem to be poorly printed, as though resized from the wrong resolution. The pool balls in the center of the table are no more than a prop, with all of them glued together along with the triangle shaping them. And, naturally, the jukebox is nothing more than a decorative prop and will not play any music no matter how much it is prodded.

Should he exit the house, he’ll find that the nameplate is blank. He may spend as much or as little time as he likes in his house, but nothing seems to happen. However, there
is a street he can follow elsewhere, and if he checks on his person he'll find a wallet with a basic ID including his photo (but no name?), as well as a fair amount of cash in yen.]

Hurricane's House

[personal profile] bondsofsuffering 2021-12-30 08:25 pm (UTC)(link)
[Hurricane wakes up in a cozy bed with a lightly colored wooden frame. His room is comfortable, if not the most neat, with photos and polaroids of himself, HSS, and Nemesis in various happy, peaceful settings he most certainly doesn’t recall, wearing regular modern clothing. Similar clothing can be found in a sliding door closet set into the wall. There are two doors in his room; one leads out into the hallway of the second floor, while the other leads to a smaller room reserved for a grand piano with shelves for books full of sheet music inside.

Exploring his house - yes, house - will make it clear that his room and the piano room are on the second floor, along with a (working) Jack and Jill bathroom and another room that looks suspiciously like it ought to be for Nemesis, although she seems to have left for the day. On the first floor is a living room with various consoles hooked up, as well as a large dining room table and lavish kitchen featuring an island, marble countertops, a large steel fridge - the works. The walls throughout the house have photos of Hurricane and the other members of HSS, as well as friends from off-unit like Izanagi and Rye, all in similarly impossible scenes like the ones found in his room. Another doorway leads to a large garage with some sleek and powerful looking motorcycles that... aren’t outfitted with engines whatsoever, making them little more than eye candy.

Actually, on closer examination, the make of the whole house seems to be cheap and shoddy in some way. Wood is actually plastic, the large screen TV doesn’t actually turn on, and on the first floor many of the cabinets and the fridge itself in the kitchen are sealed shut. The clothes are cheaply made fast fashion that wouldn’t hold up through more than a few washes, and the photos seem to be poorly printed, as though resized from the wrong resolution. Not even the piano plays properly, producing a sound similar to a toy rather than a proper instrument.

Should he exit the house, he’ll find that the nameplate says “Hurricane & Nemesis”. He may spend as much or as little time as he likes in his house, but nothing seems to happen. However, there
is a street he can follow elsewhere, and if he checks on his person he'll find a wallet with a basic ID including his photo and name, as well as a fair amount of cash in yen.]

Eirene's House

[personal profile] bondsofsuffering 2021-12-30 08:25 pm (UTC)(link)
[Eirene wakes up in a comfortable, but not unhealthily soft bed. At a first glance, the room seems to be neat and organized, with a closet full of clothes in just her size and a work desk with stationary, pens, pencils, highlighters - everything you could need to stay on top of scheduling, really. There are slick metal photo frames portraying Eirene and the various members of sensitIV, as well as Luminosity. Everyone in those photos wears regular modern clothing, and none are of occasions she could possibly recall.

Exploring her house - yes, house - will make it clear that her room is on the second floor, with a (working) master bathroom attached. Down the hall is a music room, where her violin is carefully stowed away in a nice black case and the walls are properly soundproofed so she can play as much as her heart desires without worrying about the time or neighbors. There’s a computer set to an audio mixing program with a pair of headphones plugged in should she wish to play her own accompaniment, as well as a microphone set to just the right height for her to stand and play. Naturally, there’s all the tools to keep her violin and bow in tip top shape, too. Should she go down the stairs to the first floor, she’ll find a cozy living room - all the furniture is properly cushioned with great back support, turned inwards in a circle for visitors to easily converse among themselves. Additionally, there’s a dining room and a large kitchen with its own island - all the counters low enough for her to make use of them comfortably. Much like her room, photos of various sensitIVs and herself, along with others such as Luminosity and Madame Fucko can be found framed around the whole of the house.

The violin in the music room is nothing more than a plastic toy, and the computer no more than a box with a piece of paper behind the plastic screen to make it look like a functional program. Much of the furniture is a cheap pleather that immediately begins to wear, fragments sticking to skin or fabric.

Should she exit the house, she’ll find that the nameplate says “Eirene”. She may spend as much or as little time as she likes in her house, but nothing seems to happen. However, there
is a street she can follow elsewhere and if she checks on her person she'll find a wallet with a basic ID including her photo and name, as well as a fair amount of cash in yen.]

Serenity's House

[personal profile] bondsofsuffering 2021-12-30 08:26 pm (UTC)(link)
[Serenity wakes up in a comfortable, simple bed. Her room is neat and orderly made with cream walls and light wooden accents. A closet holds her already-pressed uniform as well as an assortment of modern day clothing, and subtle silver or gunmetal grey accessories are all neatly set out in a tray by what’s obviously a work desk. Framed photos of herself and various members of BEDE are hung around the room (despite portraying peaceful scenes in regular clothing that she certainly can’t recall ever really happening) save for a photo of herself and Ordine that sits on the work desk.

The rest of the house - yes, house - is similarly decorated, neat and orderly yet still feeling a bit worn, not from lack of maintenance but rather because of regular use and visitors. Photos of herself and both her unitmates as well as off-unit friends can be found hung up artfully around the walls, always of peaceful, playful times in a modern day world; Lily, Levity, Izanagi, and Ren can easily be found among them. However...

The more she explores, the more she’ll realize; the wood paneling is plastic, the drawers and cupboards in the kitchen are fake and glued shut, and even the photos in the frames seem printed poorly, like they were resized from a different resolution. While the clothes are comfortable enough to wear, there’s a cheapness to the quality, fast fashion that isn’t likely to last more than a few washes before the seams fall apart.

The house has two floors: the top floor includes her bedroom, a (working) master bathroom, as well as a living room/den. The bottom floor is where the kitchen and dining room may be found, as well as a large garage with some sleek and powerful looking motorcycles that... aren’t outfitted with engines whatsoever, making them little more than eye candy. Outside, the nameplate displays the name “Serenity”. She may spend as much or as little time as she likes in her house, but nothing seems to happen. However, there
is a street she can follow elsewhere, and if she checks on her person she'll find a wallet with a basic ID including her photo and name, as well as a fair amount of cash in yen.]

Ren's House

[personal profile] bondsofsuffering 2021-12-30 08:26 pm (UTC)(link)
[Ren wakes up in a luxurious bed. At a first glance, the room seems to be fit for a princess - a four poster bed with curtains drawn for privacy, as well as an ornate bureau filled with modern day clothes in her size. There are wooden photo frames portraying Ren and the various members of pep!pep!, as well as Kaguya, Zero, and Serenity placed around the room. Everyone in those photos wears regular modern clothing, and none are of occasions she could possibly recall.

Exploring Ren’s house - yes, house - will make it clear that her room is on the second floor, with a (working) master bathroom attached. Down the hall is a tea room filled with cute lace, plushies, and teamaking supplies, including an electric kettle and a round table surrounded by four dainty wire chairs. There’s even a fancy cupcake stand in the middle of the table that spins so everyone can easily reach the cupcake of their choosing! Should she go down the stairs to the first floor, she’ll find a cozy living room with plenty of seating for gatherings of friends and family alike, a dining room, and a large kitchen with its own island. Much like her room, photos of various pep!pep! and herself as well as others such as Kaguya, Zero, and Serenity can be found framed around the whole of the house.

Checking her tea room, there isn’t even an outlet to plug the kettle into, and all of the plushies are the cheap sort one might win at a carnival, with loose seams that are already coming apart. Even the furniture in the living room is cheap, the pleather flaking off at the merest touch.

Should she exit the house, she’ll find that the nameplate says “Ren”. She may spend as much or as little time as she likes in her house, but nothing seems to happen. However, there
is a street she can follow elsewhere, and if she checks on her person she'll find a wallet with a basic ID including her photo and name, as well as a fair amount of cash in yen.]

Neighborhood

[personal profile] bondsofsuffering 2021-12-30 08:26 pm (UTC)(link)
[Once your character leaves their house, they find themselves in a quaint neighborhood. There are a number of houses ringing a circular road, and a single house in the center.

They can travel to the central house or head down the street to the shopping district. Personal houses lock immediately after the owner exits, but people may be let in by the owner - the knob will only unlock when the owner attempts to open the door.

You may self-navigate, but if you would like a chance to run into other player characters, feel free to comment to this top level.

Central House

[personal profile] bondsofsuffering 2021-12-30 08:27 pm (UTC)(link)
[Approaching the center house, the exterior is a sleek, modern looking affair with white walls and black roofing. The nameplate reads “Hizumi”. Should characters step inside, they’ll find themselves on the first floor. The door immediately to the right upon entry has a sign engraved with “Guest Bedroom” hanging from the front, and appears to be locked from the inside. Otherwise, the first floor features a living room with a large flatscreen TV, couches and armchairs enough to accommodate plenty of guests, a connected dining room with a long table seating six, and a kitchen with an island and a stainless steel refrigerator and top of the line appliances. There’s a door exiting from the kitchen that seems to go to the back somewhere, but the frosted glass makes it impossible to tell what’s behind it, and the door is locked fast.

On the second floor, characters can find a locked door that seems to lead to one half of the floor and an open door that leads to no other than the master bedroom. No matter the hour, the door to the master bedroom is open and unlocked.

Talk to Hizumi

[personal profile] bondsofsuffering 2021-12-30 08:27 pm (UTC)(link)
[Upon opening the door, they’ll find that the room is dark, but most of it can still be made out - plush white carpets, sleek, modern furniture made of black wood with red velvet accents. There’s a tell-tale lump in the king-sized bed with some fluffy mint green hair sticking out. It seems like someone’s fast asleep.]

Talk to Hizumi - Afternoon

[personal profile] bondsofsuffering 2021-12-30 08:28 pm (UTC)(link)
[For a select few of you, it seems the owner of the house has finally awoken. He can be found milling around his house in modern clothing, though he still looks like he’s in the process of waking up. Still, it doesn’t stop him from glancing over.]

Ah- hey. Did you let yourself in?

Guest Room

[personal profile] bondsofsuffering 2021-12-30 08:28 pm (UTC)(link)
[Your character wakes up in a room that smells strongly of disinfectant, having apparently fallen asleep on a hospital cot. A curtain grants them some privacy from the rest of the room, but upon drawing it to the side, they’ll find the room consists only of row after row of cots crammed into the room, each able to be curtained off but only just, allowing for narrow walkways between each bed. No other bed appears to be occupied - any other player character currently occupying this room is in their own version of it.]

Shopping District

[personal profile] bondsofsuffering 2021-12-30 08:29 pm (UTC)(link)
[No matter the time of day, the shopping district is bustling with people! ...Or at least, approximations of people. The masses all pass your character by, seemingly literally faceless, and if they try to get the attention of the people, they’ll find that the figures simply turn and head out of the way, always granting your character a wide enough berth to walk without otherwise disrupting the flow of people.

There are a few areas of interest here that characters may explore. You may self-navigate, but if you would like a chance to run into other player characters, feel free to comment to this top level.

Shopping District Streets

[personal profile] bondsofsuffering 2021-12-30 08:29 pm (UTC)(link)
[The streets seem ordinary enough. There’s smaller boutiques with more alternative fashion, for characters to peruse as they wish, unless they want to continue down the streets.]

Mall

[personal profile] bondsofsuffering 2021-12-30 08:29 pm (UTC)(link)
[The mall is a fairly typical one; there’s an elevator leading to other floors, along with a number of shops full of mannequins displaying all kinds of fashions, far beyond the aesthetics offered in Imeeji. Streetwear, preppy, boho, and even your cheap basics and more - all can be found in the various stores and boutiques, the shadowy apparitions of a crowd filtering in and out of stores with the leisurely pace one would expect of people enjoying a day off. Sure, there’s an abandoned storefront among the rest, empty of any merchandise with only leftover mannequins remaining, but the rest of the mall seems healthy enough.]

Arcade

[personal profile] bondsofsuffering 2021-12-30 08:29 pm (UTC)(link)
[The arcade is loud and hazy with lights, a multitude of different games flashing different colors as they display the entertainment your character could be enjoying at the price of a play. They’re all sectioned off by genre: there’s a casino area with slots, pachinko, and roulettes, as well as areas for more general games like rhythm, shooters, racing, fighting, and puzzle games. Near the racing games in particular is a doorway lined with colorful lights that seems to be its own attraction, and along another wall entirely seems to be a laser tag arena.]
