[ The room is plain and unassuming, as all the rooms you entered before are. White tiles make up the floor, lighting up with your unit's color when pressure is placed on them. There is a button in the very center of the room standing on a podium; it's slightly smaller than palm-sized.

On the far wall is a door. It is locked. ]

[ well, first of all, let's start out on a note that seems to be working thus far: ]

Lightning Flash!

[ after one bright flash of light, the entire room goes pitch dark for Kirin, though the room remains illuminated for Man☆Eater.

the first thing he dashes after is Kirin himself, reaching out with an arm still buffed to super strong levels by Harder They Fall to try and scruff him by the neck, hoping to swing around and toss him across the room in the opposite direction of the podium. ]

After about thirty seconds, if the winner does not proceed to the elevator, the floor tiles will start moving up one row of tiles at a time, starting from the back wall - they tilt to a steep angle that rounds at the edges, even gaining a slippery quality to ensure that none may be able to get a grip on the tiles or move backwards. The winner will eventually be pushed out of the room and into the elevator to head for endgame. ]

PUNISHMENT - Fox

The ground is cold, hard tile. You can't see anything, but you can hear the sound of mechanical whirring as something opens up, and then -

Something grabs your neck - or multiple somethings, perhaps, cold and metallic that tighten and tighten around your throat steadily. There's no person with these hands; whatever body that these hands attach to is much too far away, with the mechanical limbs stretching further than you could possibly reach. The hands pick you up from the floor, gripping you like one might a ragdoll, and just when you're about to pass out - they let go, dropping you to the ground. Nothing has broken, per se, but that's definitely going to leave a mark.

You'll find that you've been dropped back into the elevator heading down to endgame, your throat uncomfortably raw. You're not feeling too well. ]

I wanted to prove... to Taisho... that they mean enough to fight for them. They mean enough for me to dirty my hands, enough for me to fight others who are struggling for their own teams.

But what is the point of that proof, if I hurt them in the process? How could I face Boss or Maki, if the cost of my ambitions is the blood of someone precious to them?
