STORY

[ The townsfolk outside tell a story - they ask for salvation, to be protected from the coming storm. Only you and your compatriots can save them. An item of offense is what they need, and the story they tell reflects the refuge they seek - you need only fill in that which is left unspoken. ]

Once upon a time, there was a very {emotion1} man. He couldn't stand the idea that there were people out there who had {emotion2} and {memory/event1} in the world when he had nothing.

So he took up an weapon, and thinking of {memory/event2} he set out to take from others what he never had the chance to have.

But it wasn't worth it, in the end. Even though he got everything he wanted, and even {memory/event3}...

...In the end, he was still {emotion3}.

You may also share additional memories/events or emotions independent of the story to bolster your object.

I am inclined to agree. And they need not any help from us. They will collapse under their own weight.

But I imagine if we should lose this game, we'd feel the sting of their loss, and I'm not inclined to be bothered by a foolish individuals inability to be happy for others.
