Cobalt receive a multi-part AU fanfic where he and Thorn work in a seamy 1940s city as private detectives. They are given a case to look for a missing club singer, who turns out to be Wednesday. The author's note states that they were inspired by a piece of fanart - presumably the earlier print that placed the both of them in a PI's office. Starts out gen, but gets sweeter and spicier as the story progresses.
