It is a complicated thing. For some, a quick death can be a mercy compared to rounds upon rounds of suffering, of losing yourself and your memories along with your limbs.

And even if we wished to use the card as a means of revenge, there is no guarantee that whomever chooses to take it will be our intended target. Not everyone on that unit deserves punishment.

It's less a matter of revenge and more of practicality. From what I've gathered, they play hard and we're basically their first choice of target. If we can expect them to hit us their hardest, then we should too — if only to make up for the amount of points we might lose.

Though I won't deny I'd like to get back at them.

If they make a move to murder one of ours, it becomes a matter of vengeance. But I am uneasy with making the first move.

We can still play a reasonably high-point card--the 5 or the 7 on them. However, we can't target them two rounds in a row.

I'd consider 5 the worst card we have on the list. If possible, I'd like to avoid playing it on anyone. From my point of view, that's just plain cruel.

But I won't object to it if we have no other choice. As for BARiTONES ... does it actually change anything whether we're the first to hit them or not, beside clearing our conscience?

We should also consider whether we are willing to use the nine points card or not. If not them, then the choice should be between the newest teams.

We ought to do as is necessary to protect ourselves. Previous experience has taught that other units will not look out for our well being, and I could easily weather simply allowing harm to come to all of you.

But as for who. . . that is a matter of which unit is likely to come for us. Baritones, as Fox said, is extremely likely. But avante is fairly likely to target us, albeit with something low.

Kaguya would like us to avoid specifically targeting Avante, as she's made a contract with them.

My proposal is to send the 9 points card to either Baritones, or one of the newest teams. They are the ones that are less likely to pose any long term consequences for us, so barring Baritones, they're the best candidates.

That said, I understand that our ultimate objective is to survive, not to win. So I won't oppose it if you would prefer to avoid using it at all.

I'm small and have no powers, nor useful memories. I'd take more time than necessary and it'd be an all around waste, so I wasn't going to offer.

Despite your insistence that your concerns are practical, I still cannot easily wish for another to be forced into that position. The horror is not one that leaves you easily.

And so, I would offer as often as it is needed of me.
