[ Minus your missing unitmate, you emerge in this room. There's enough room for your whole team to crowd into a booth, and discuss and speculate on your missing unitmate's predicament. After all, the rules displaying on your phone has just informed you that it's up to you to figure out what happened to them, and their fate hangs in the balance of just how well you can figure it out in time.

A little hourglass in the center of the table informs you of each ten minutes that passes. It sits next to a "menu"-- a list of 36 possible terrible things, three of which are happening to your unitmate, right now. ]

So... in Kestrel-logic, uh........

Arm...chopped off...? Since, everybody here has a bunch of them...?

... Maybe she's had too much caffeine and wants to spin around...

Or alcohol is making her dizzy?

Trapping a poltergeist in a circle or something...?

Maybe she's turning t'stone so... she wants to move?

We need another question. What's something else that could help, or like...show us a feeling of what's happening to you, or...something...?

What scares you most? Or just, dumb it down even more. We haven't asked her 'what's happening to you'?

Yeah... What's happening sounds good. Why make it too complicated? Maybe we'll actually be able to figure out what she's trying to say...

I couldn't guess a single thing about how Kestrel thinks.

Maybe we should ask something else entirely.

Maybe it's more like... a magic thing is happening, so she needs magic to fix it...?
