POISON GAME: sensitIV

[ The room is plain, white walls and white ceiling, except for the steel-panel flooring. There are three metal stands rising out of openings in the floor, each of which carries a glass vial on top. One of them just holds water. Of the remaining two, one contains a pale pink, opaque liquid with a creamy consistency; the next is tinged barely yellow like a weak tea, and would be almost completely transparent but for the pulp and fibers mixed in, drifting through it.

Both have flowers floated across the surface: the first a tiny sprinkling of cherry blossom petals; the second a small, but whole, bloomed lotus. They're cute and smell nice. ]

Under what boundaries? Do you have priorities of what harm is considered more or less harm?

[tilts his head to the side, thinking.]

I suppose... that varies a little depending on the circumstance. But in general, I'd have to say the fewer people injured or affected negatively, the better. It's not always that black and white, since I can't help but be influenced by the identities of the people in, uh, harm's way? And the wishes of those around me. But I try to at least keep it in mind... so that if I act unfairly, I'm at least aware of it, and don't try to justify my actions.

... that got a little long.

Oh, wow, that's a big question. I think... on a larger scale, no. Everyone's lives are ultimately worth the same. But there's no denying that to an individual, one person's life might matter more than another's.

If I know them. If I have a personal connection with them. If I care about them. That sort of thing.

[the logic sure does check out]

Listing everyone would take a while, and it seems like a weird thing to do, anyway.

... yeah. Though it seems like it's just going to turn into an argument over who's going to volunteer to be poisoned if it comes to that.

I think it's pretty common to value the people you care about more than yourself. I'm not saying it's a good thing, but... it's definitely something I see.
