Gloom: LiliS
[The old-fashioned writing desk in the center of the room carries several blank pieces of paper, a fine wooden pen, and a piece of parchment covered in writing. When you take a look, you find the following epigraph in a vibrant scrawl:]
Congratulations, future wordsmiths, and welcome to your first exercise in the creation of a true masterwork of tale-telling. This evening you'll be penning a terrific tragedy, starring the family of unsympathetic ne'er-do-wells provided to you.
Your goal? Why, to construct the best story your mind can conceive, of course - and make their lives as entertainingly miserable as possible before writing one of them directly into an early grave.

was betrayed by the butler (-25) on angel
STORYTELLING
was betrayed by the butler
After all - who would suspect the butler in the midst of all this chaos? And now that she was feeling the guilt from all the men she loved, the men she had killed, he had struck a plan.
And that plan would be to find her next true love and strike them down before she possibly ever could. But he also wanted her to know that her one true partner in crime could not be trusted.
Therefore, on the following day -
"Here you are, madam," he spoke, the same casually polite tone as usual as he poured her tea.
It was only then and there when the phone rang and she heard the terrible, terrible news.
This was only a person that a few people knew.
And before she knew it -
Her butler was gone. And left on the table was the morning's tea, dyed in deep red. And that's when it all clicked. He had done this. After all, her morning tea was never the color of rusty blood. No, she had always asked for plain, green tea.
And that's when she found herself sobbing into her cup, knowing.
She could not trust anyone. Even the butler who served her all those years.
She would only be betrayed. Again, and again.
menaced by rats
But the ones that he ran into were ones that made him absolutely furious.
Rats, who, shockingly did not fear the storm.
Rats who were hungry, just like the small boy was. Which is exactly why they all chased after him as he screamed, loud but not overpowering that any other living being could possibly hear him.
But he could not escape, as the swarm ran towards him, climbing all over his body even as he made attempt after attempt to swat them off him.
He may no longer be alone...
... but he wishes, now, that he was.
OUTCOME
Re: OUTCOME
The cough grew worse and worse, and left him bedridden; left to malinger, he started developing sores. The Dam, a miser, paid him too little for anything but a questionable back-alley fellow. The first he tried sold him a useless potion that only made his bones ache; the second sedated and robbed him and vanished.
Awake at night in bed, unable to sleep from the pain caused by his tossing and turning, he began to think only of revenge...
[As they unfold before you, some of you feel the effects of the words as though you are the character that has been written about. You recall the events as though you have lived them; the damage caused to the character is reflected in your own flesh.]

Better than gangrene while the game is still going.

Better to not use the gangrene on other people. Do we still want to split the cards this round too?
