[The old-fashioned writing desk in the center of the room carries several blank pieces of paper, a fine wooden pen, and a piece of parchment covered in writing. When you take a look, you find the following epigraph in a vibrant scrawl:]

Congratulations, future wordsmiths, and welcome to your first exercise in the creation of a true masterwork of tale-telling. This evening you'll be penning a terrific tragedy, starring the family of unsympathetic ne'er-do-wells provided to you.

Your goal? Why, to construct the best story your mind can conceive, of course - and make their lives as entertainingly miserable as possible before writing one of them directly into an early grave.

I see. Well, if you want to write the stuff for this round, I won't be opposed to it.

Then first off, how about something like the serial killer being haunted by the ghosts of her victims?

But what kind of people were her victims? If she's a serial killer, they usually have some sort of pattern going on with who they kill, right?

I guess if her name is 'Angel'. . . maybe they were all the 'bad boy' types?

Ooh, yes! With the flowers and dreamy expression, she definitely looks like the romantic type.

So perhaps she's always searching for the perfect husband, someone who'll take her away from her dreary country life, but they all end up letting her down somehow. And then she kills them... hmm, there's a scythe on the card, so perhaps she always uses farming equipment?
