Gloom: Taisho Roman Revolution

[The old-fashioned writing desk in the center of the room carries several blank pieces of paper, a fine wooden pen, and a piece of parchment covered in writing. When you take a look, you find the following epigraph in a vibrant scrawl:]

Congratulations, future wordsmiths, and welcome to your first exercise in the creation of a true masterwork of tale-telling. This evening you'll be penning a terrific tragedy, starring the family of unsympathetic ne'er-do-wells provided to you.

Your goal? Why, to construct the best story your mind can conceive, of course - and make their lives as entertainingly miserable as possible before writing one of them directly into an early grave.

The rules do not say who suffers, if anyone does.

Someone surely will. But... it would be nice to have a clear cut picture of how it will all unfold, huh...

Instead of sitting on the fence, choose a tactic and go with it.

Well, it seems that most prefer to play hard right now. As much as I hate it, I think it's our only option.

I just hope it doesn't bite us in the butt after.

I wouldn't mess with you in regards to something like that. You're someone important to me.

[ She won't poke him again though for now. ]

I am sorry we don't tend to see eye to eye on games like this, though. I know it's frustrating.

[ She feels the same way when she's outvoted. ]

[he crosses his arms and tchs]

[ Just a faint smile-- before they have to turn their attention back to the game. She really does care about him, though. ]
