POISON GAME: Taisho Roman Revolution

[ The room is plain, white walls and white ceiling, except for the steel-panel flooring. There are three metal stands rising out of openings in the floor, each of which carries a glass vial on top. One of them just holds water. Of the remaining two, one contains a pale pink, opaque liquid with a creamy consistency; the next is tinged barely yellow like a weak tea, and would be almost completely transparent but for the pulp and fibers mixed in, drifting through it.

Both have flowers floated across the surface: the first a tiny sprinkling of cherry blossom petals; the second a small, but whole, bloomed lotus. They're cute and smell nice. ]

You know I don't want to use it that way.

Okami's right, though. You've already paid the price.

I don't feel especially guilty, you realize. It isn't penance.

I know you don't, but if you drink it, and are poisoned, other units may view it as such and think we consider that acceptable.

In terms of politics, it should be someone that other units have an investment in, to keep us from getting dumped on constantly in the future.

I hate politics.

That makes two of us. But they aren't something we can choose not to engage in and expect to come out fine.

In the first place I didn't want anyone to think the rest of you were involved in my decision. We'll only be giving them yet another excuse to paint me as a villain like this, but now the rest of you are enabling me.

That's a way it could be interpreted. But if they give a single shit about any one of us, it will make them think twice about targeting us regardless of whether or not they think we're enabling you.
