POISON GAME: future is now

[ The room is plain, white walls and white ceiling, except for the steel-panel flooring. There are three metal stands rising out of openings in the floor, each of which carries a glass vial on top. One of them just holds water. Of the remaining two, one contains a pale pink, opaque liquid with a creamy consistency; the next is tinged barely yellow like a weak tea, and would be almost completely transparent but for the pulp and fibers mixed in, drifting through it.

Both have flowers floated across the surface: the first a tiny sprinkling of cherry blossom petals; the second a small, but whole, bloomed lotus. They're cute and smell nice. ]

. . . well! Now that the choice to play nice has been taken away from us, what do we do?

So it wasn't so simple after all.

I wanted to see if we could keep stalling that way, but it makes sense that they'd stop us.

... Well, if it comes down to it I'll drink the poison since now we have two because of my stunt specifically. That's only fair.

[ SIGH. SO BOTHERSOME. ]

Do we know which one is poison? Though I suppose it would make more sense they'd give us less antidote.

If they gave us a second antidote that would hardly be a punishment at all.

So. . . when cornered, you choose to put our unit reputation above your own life?

Not always. In this case the only reason we don't have an option where nobody is hurt is because of me acting impulsively.

Well that simplifies the choice to dying versus not dying. Is it time for a vote now?

I suppose. I'll own up to my mistake; we shouldn't have tried a second time. If it comes down to it I'll drink that poison.

I'm hardly going to make a habit of it. Maybe someone will send us an antidote. But I messed up; I'm not going to poison another team because of my own mistake.
