CAPTIVE GAME: Heart Soldier Senshi & Challah

[ You're in a room with no doors or windows, about the size of a living room. Depending on how many of you are around, it might feel a little cramped. The walls and ceiling are draped with fabrics, the floor covered in colorful rugs and piles of sitting cushions, but you can see the dirt ground and untreated wood walls peeking through in places. There are three or so oil lamps to light the space, each placed on a stump-like round little table that isn't big enough to hold much else. It's kind of cozy, but...

Most of the cushions are embroidered with an array of colors, but there's one pillow in particular, set aside from the rest, that's solid black – King's position color. ]

Even if that's true, it's not going to do any good for him now. Are you willing to sacrifice him for that outlook?

There are many things I know nothing about right now. [Uh, basically everything, as it would happen.] But I know that harming the defenseless is wrong. [She lets out a breath through her nose. Despite her moral outrage, she also heard that part about rescuing 'one of their own'. So...there's someone else in a similar situation?]

Who is 'King'?

....so somewhere else, some other group of people are having this same conversation while he sits, presumably equally bound and helpless as this person.

That's correct. And I can assure you it's likely they are being much less restrained. Every moment we talk is another moment he may be suffering.

Are you listening to me? Because you seem to have ignored my question. Are you willing to sacrifice him? Do you think his pain and suffering is an acceptable consequence?

Of course I don't want them to hurt him! What kinda question is that? But we're not gonna sit here and torture someone who's tied up. We just ain't.

She's tied up normally. They've left the pain to us. And we don't need to make things more difficult for ourselves by letting her free.

But--it's not right, Seto. Challah is a nice girl. I know they took King, but--there has to be a way to resolve this that doesn't require hurting her! Or leaving her tied up!

...I suppose pain isn't strictly necessary, by the rules. And our powers lend themselves better to... emotional manipulation, in any case.

We could try Buddy System first.... that... might be the most expedient way.
