POISON GAME: Heart Soldier Senshi

[ The room is plain, white walls and white ceiling, except for the steel-panel flooring. There are three metal stands rising out of openings in the floor, each of which carries a glass vial on top. One of them just holds water. Of the remaining two, one contains a pale pink, opaque liquid with a creamy consistency; the next is tinged barely yellow like a weak tea, and would be almost completely transparent but for the pulp and fibers mixed in, drifting through it.

Both have flowers floated across the surface: the first a tiny sprinkling of cherry blossom petals; the second a small, but whole, bloomed lotus. They're cute and smell nice. ]

[ Name the vial you will send and the unit you will send it to, and the vial you will keep to drink. Since this is a one-round game, there's no hard deadline; the game will end as soon as all units' decisions are in. ]

We're sending the antidote to Avante.

We're keeping the water.

[ Two of the stands descend into the floor, leaving the water behind. The ground closes up behind them, but opens up again a moment later in different places, new vials raising up out of the ground: both with tiny lotuses on top.

Despite the texture, they taste like nothing.

Characters won't know this until they drink it, but the lotus drink is the antidote. ]

...Two probably means it's good, right? I can't think there'd be two teams that would send us poison.

Hopefully... but there won't be any way to tell for sure until someone drinks it.

I can drink it.

[Reaching for a vial]

So, water.

Yeah. That's the safest for everyone.

If we keep the water we can send the antidote and remove the poison from play.

The problem is we can't communicate with anyone in this game, so it's possible someone might think of going for the worst solution, to keep the antidote and send the poison, if everyone goes in a round robin like that then even if people are poisoned they can save themselves.

I don't think anyone would vote to poison us, so we're probably safe, but going from trust games in the past at least someone is bound to choose to keep the poison in play. So we need to think about what teams would get sent it, and what teams would keep an antidote.

...can we send the antidote to Avante?

After Cardigan's live, they're gonna have a target on their backs.

[Nods]

[Puts a hand on his shoulder.]

King-san said it's okay too, so, we can put our choice in. They'll be okay.

Yeah. I sure hope so.

[And he's going to go ahead and put their choice in.]

[As long as multiple people don't send them poison I hope and pray.]

If we're lucky, most people will think to send the water instead. AlcheME! definitely will, Avante swore to do minimal harm, pep! pep! wouldn't choose to play violently on their first game, future is now would play lightly too. Taisho... I hope, would be on damage control, and Shuten-san said they wouldn't let something bad happen again. Wild City would play low if Silver-san is there.

☆ZRAEL and bad end are always wild cards, and I'm not sure about SensitIV, they might want to protect themselves since they're the healers, they've played with that logic before.

But the odds that all of them would send it to Avante are low. Bad end definitely wouldn't, I think, so... there's a high chance they'll make it through.

If we get to choose which team to send the poison to, I trust that we haven't made enemies who would send it to us. So I think we're safe to drink the water, and send our antidote to someone else.

The problem is that before, in games of trust, people have hurt each other because of poor planning and pessimism, and that was with a method for communication.

I can understand their pessimism, since we witnessed a senseless murder just a few days ago.

We'll do what we can to minimise any more murders. Hurricane-kun wants to send the antidote to Avante, and I agree. Are you alright with that?

... Yes. I can agree to that.

And the grounds that we have friends there too. Nemesis-san is from the same place as Hurricane-kun, I like her too, and Gold-san, and Hiryuu-san is close with Cardigan-san and Raijuu-san is from her home too. They're an important team to us.

I see.

If that's the case, then I'm happy to ensure their safety.

It's still better than sending poison off to anyone else.
