Objective: Help Angel remember what she has forgotten (and what she does not know :) ) and then convince her to leave the Ideal World.
Hint: Something is "wrong" about each room. Each room must be "solved" to unlock ❔❔❔❔❔❔❔.
Powers: On Perception Checks: Roll 2d6 every time you enter a room, get a 9 or higher and perceive something you might not have noticed. Can only roll once after you enter!
You find yourself in a cozy little throne room. Kind of!
By cozy, I mean a throne room that seems to be from the future! The walls and floor are smooth and clean, shining against the bright fluorescent chandelier hanging above. Tall, wide windows are spread around also, letting you look out into the snowy fields of Halation where people seem to have gathered. From the looks of the fun decor outside, there’s going to be a party!
Angel is sitting at the round table in the middle, folding one of the many paper cranes that are scattered throughout the room. She seems quite pleased with the work that’s been done so far. There’s also a bowl of plastic fruit. It’s very nice. There are several thrones for people to sit in if they so choose to.
The decor on the wall is also what you would expect it to be. Sheep paintings of various aesthetics, some pictures of a chicken, and one particularly large portrait of Future Is Now with a plaque on the bottom labelled “My Family”.
Around the room are several mechanical sliding doors, each with an electronic panel next to it. If you take a closer look, they all say the same thing:
Input Location: >___________
There is a keypad for you to use as well. It seems you can choose where you want to go.
As one would expect of a unit named future is now, their dorm is all modern futuristic—white with silver chrome. The furniture is all geometric shapes, as if drawn up with a very crude 3D modeling program, and all the lights are glowing cubes (that you can change the color on!). Their central table just a silver cube, with several smaller white cushion-topped cubes for chairs clustered around it. The regular looking couch seems to stick out from the rest of the modern furniture but it does look waaaaay more comfy than the rest of it. Beds in the bedroom touch only one wall, and don't touch the floor at all.
The first thing you’ll notice when you step outdoors is that it’s snowing outside! Despite this, it’s extremely crowded out there. There are a lot of people mulling about in fancy clothing and you might actually recognize all of them! After all, they contain most everyone in Imeeji, past and present! You’ll also find some people you might not recognize (some of them are really strange characters that look like mushroom gijinka), but they’re all getting along. They’re laughing and mingling together, entertaining themselves as if they’re waiting for the main attraction to start.
The main attraction, by the way, seems to be a party. There are balloons hanging up everywhere, and sparkly banners strewn about which really matches with the white snow. Tables of candy and desserts are all out for people to snack on, and of course, there’s some champagne for people to try.
You open the door right into a grassy field where sheep are grazing. As you feel the gentle wind blow right past you, you realize there isn’t much to be seen here really. There are a few trees scattered here and there, and of course there are plenty of sheep for all to pet or hug, but otherwise, it’s just a simple field that seems to go on forever. Everything is so wide and open, it feels like you can go anywhere and nothing can stop you! What’s at the other end of the field? Who knows!
The sky is still quite bright, even as the sun begins to set.
[For everyone outside of the Throne Room, the lights suddenly shut off, but they quickly come back on and everything is fine!
For those in the Throne Room, however, it remains completely dark. The chandeliers remain turned off, and the windows are suddenly covered.
The only thing that is lit up are the input screens by the doors. They aren’t bright enough to illuminate very far, unfortunately so you can’t really see where everything is.
There are foot steps that can be heard, but you’re not sure where they are coming from.]
You find yourself inside of a virtual reality room, just like the one in Imeeji. Everything is already set-up once you get in there however. The setting has a simple FIN style chair on top of a bright, lit-up stage. Sheep plush toys are scattered about, and there is a bright light shining above to illuminate your face to maximum attractiveness. The power of good lighting! Also it probably helps that you are now wearing cute and sparkly idol clothes now, very befitting of the idol that you are!
There is a stack of fanmai next to the chairl, a quick look through all of them seems to showcase a lot of happy letters, some filled with compliments, others talking about the inspiration they’ve received since they started watching imeeji. It seems these letters are waiting for your answers.
There is also a button that says “LIVE” that you can press.
[Going Quick as Wink, Gladio doesn't notice much out of place (rolled a 7) about the room. He takes a quick look at the letters but doesn't pay them much mind and ignores the LIVE button.
He goes around the perimeter of the room, rapping on the walls looking for a way out]
It isn’t what you might expect of a temple. There are still your benches and your organ and places of offering . . . but in fact, it’s more like an aquarium. A pretty weird Aquarium.
Though that is only one of the creatures floating in the sea behind the glass, there are other less scary looking creatures along with it! Cute little fishies and little octoplops and a random scuba diver maybe, who knows!
But more importantly, the temple maiden is there. A familiar face or...?
Welcome to the Game Room! There isn’t anything too particular about this space, but the most important thing is that there are games everywhere! Duelist Kingdom decks and regular cards and Candyland and Go Fish and Arcade Games and Crane Games . . . it is all there.
There are plenty of tables and chairs set up for you and friends to play at, and there are even tvs for you to watch games at. You might recognize them as Imeeji games though you don’t recognize the people on there. They’re definitely silly games like Truth or Dare and Speed Dating.
By dusty, I mean a throne room that seems to be nearly falling apart! The walls and floor are splattered with old blood, becoming really noticeable when the lights above stop flickering. Tall, wide windows are spread around also, letting you look out into the snowy fields of Halation where people seem to have gathered. From the looks of the guillotines, it seems there will be some executions soon.
Angel is sitting at the round table in the middle, folding one of the many paper cranes that are scattered throughout the room. She seems to be blinking through tears with the work that’s been done so far, and there is quite a lot of work already completed. Her fingertips are bleeding. It’s not very nice. There are several thrones for people to sit in if they so choose to.
The decor on the wall is also what you would expect it to be. A completely blank wall with the exception of one particularly large portrait of an unhappy group of four. The are all figures with angel wings (minus a young boy with blonde hair, his seems to be missing), and underneath, there is a plaque labelled “My Family”.

Still, you feel like every so often, you catch the after-image of a person who isn't looking at you.
For now, Angel isn't in this room anymore.
