Well, you know. Same as usual. Trying to calculate the correct trajectory and time to visit more worlds. I'll be back in Amaurot soon enough, but I was going to stay here until our birthdays at least.

[ he pulls back at that, immediately, grabbing the paper so he can check. And then he glares at him ]

[He'll pick a wall they can both sit against if there isn't a couch or something equivalent.]

[ there's only his office his char, so he's more than fine sitting on the ground with his back to the wall, going right next to him ]

Now I know this is going to sound odd, but does Taisho or BARiTONES have any meaning to you?

[ The congratulations likely don't give the reaction he was imagining, because Five just gives him a look, and he only look like he's judging him harder when he mentions Taisho and Baritones ]

All that you see around you. Well, not all of it is real or at least not as sturdy as I believe you would like.

[ he sighs at that, sounding resigned ]

Of all people I would expect you to be cautious when traveling across worlds. You know delusions are a typical side-effect.

Don't start with me. You know I cherish my memories above all else and have taken every precaution.

[ he's quiet because it IS Hades, and he trust his word above like. basically anyone else's ]

Even if I did, which I'm not entirely on board doing yet, why would all of this be fake, of all things? My life and family? That seems like a boring thing to hallucinate.

[Maybe Emet-Selch will just fail at all Ideal Worlds. What's wrong with living in the perfect version of the perfect place where everything is how you wanted it? Where you have all your loved ones and everything finally feels right.]

[But Five would hate it if he didn't try.]

Boring? 'Tis what your heart desires most. When given a chance to build your own scenario piece by piece, you would be hard pressed not to include them.

But let's play this game on terms that are more agreeable to you, logic.

[Motioning to his ring.]

[ he's quiet at that, because it's a sound argument and he wants to believe Hades wouldn't forget it, but— ]

You don't get to choose what you remember and what you forget when you suffer from side-effects, Hades. So our marriage is entirely irrelevant to this.

Though it does annoy me.

Trust me, I'm annoyed as well. This is not how I wanted to spend the first time with you being able to See along with the rest of my abilities outside of a dream.

Perhaps we should allow the realm of aether to provide answers where words fall flat. That is, if you agree, and if I can manage it.

This world doesn't have nearly as much aether as you need for your powers. If you push to hard you'll damage yourself.

[ but he does take his hand ]

The sooner we get through this the sooner you go rest and get back to normal.

You have no idea how delighted I would be if this were truly the normal.

[Guess, he's gonna try a soul merge.]

[Which he completely botches with a roll of (2). It starts out shaky, trying to blur the barriers between souls. But Five was right there isn't enough aether and it probably feels more like an electric jolt than anything.

He swears in his native tongue as he pulls his hand back.]

[ the feeling is not pleasant, especially when he knows what it's supposed to be like, but of course now he's more concerned with his state ]

I told you to be careful. This is getting ridiculous.

[He's shaking out his hand.]

That would have been too easy. Come along, then. A tour of the house will either prove you correct or I.

And truthfully, I'm hoping this victory will turn out to be yours.

The only place we're going to is my bedroom. You're resting whether you like it or not.

[ he's going to grab his wrist, and teleport them both ]
