Yvette's super fun spy simulator: Session II

Objective: Convince Yvette to leave the Ideal World.
The following is ICly known:
  • Unit abilities are off
  • Yvette is actively trying to sabotage players
  • One tactic is making interaction "pay for play," using memories, specifically those of Yvette. (max 5)
  • False memories will not be accepted as Payment.
  • Alternate Payment is negotiable, but will also result in forgetting what is paid (roll 1d6 with a score of 4 or higher for an accepted alternate payment)
  • Use of force is highly inadvisable, and the condition for success is extremely low. Failure will result in a false memory.
  • Your smartphone works, and can be used to document inconsistencies in the Ideal World.
tl;dr The more evidence you collect, the more convincing you are; memories can be used to fast track, but if they run low, you get mindfucked.
All things lost or received during the game will be reversed upon waking or within one IC day, at player’s discretion. The character does not know this ICly.

The astroturf appears to be loose in some areas, like you could pick it up.

Yvette glances up from her clipboard without the slightest bit of recognition. She looks thoroughly unimpressed, and speaks in an impatient clip:

"You're late. Would you like a lesson or would you like to skip straight to the practical exam?"

[[ Lesson: 1 memory, practical exam roll 6d6 and score 3 or higher 3 times to pass ]]
iamverybadass: (Shut up. My toons are on.)

Hm...

I think I can pass a practical exam with minimal effort. What's the challenge?
tradesecret: (z) Sure they can. Let me show you.)

"The new recruits sure are a confident lot. Marksmanship or hand to hand combat. Your choice."

Hand to hand. It's been a while since I got to have real practice.

[ And maybe he can knock some of the astroturf over ]

She sets her clipboard down and takes a fighting stance.

"Very well, whenever you're ready."

I'm always ready.

[ And eager to make the first move! His style is full of annoying flips and dodge rolls that he especially benefits from thanks to still being a small boy. He's careful to pull any blows that could do actual damage, never using more force than a hard tap at most.

Rolls: 6d6 (3 1 6 4 6 1) ]

Yvette's style functions primarily on counters, which is for the best, as she doesn't pull punches. She hits a lot harder than anyone would expect from a lady her size, and can take a hit just as well.

Considering the two absolutely perfect direct hits she takes, it's surprising that she's only a little out of breath. She picks up the clipboard and puts a check next to his name.

He passes.

[[ +2 bonus to any rolls related to physical attack, defense or evasion ]]

The tiles of astroturf are easy enough to lift. Scribbled on the concrete floor is a question:

Why are you here?

Your entire left side goes numb for thirty seconds. Just long enough for you to be aware that it has happened.

Then everything returns to normal.

[ He staggers for a moment before catching himself, focusing on flexing his left hand until he can finally feel them moving instead of just watching ]

What the hell...

[ And more importantly, glancing at Yvette ]

Did you see that?

It appears she is on a loop. He is free to study, assess his social skills, take a break, or try his hand at acting

[ May as well check one more place for a less "loop"-y Yvette before trying to break them out

Time to try acting ]
