Hiryuu Ideal World {Session 3}

WELCOME TO IDEAL WORLDS: ANCIENT PSEUDO-KOREAN DRAGON GODS EDITION.

Your character's primary goal will be to convince Hiryuu to leave her ideal world. This is ICly known.

For the bulk of your character's journey (perhaps, even, the entire journey, depending on what they do along the way) your character will not have access to their unit's powerset. Please see the START for more IC information. Depending on how you go about your quest you may or may not encounter dangers or traumas.

Any items that your character had on their person before entering the game will remain with them for the duration of the game! However, all technological items will cease functioning before they leave the start area. Please see the START for more IC information.

In order to provide some guidance, key components / places are bolded, but just because something isn't in bold doesn't mean you can't interact with it. Go wild!

Even if they do, Kouka has legendary warriors to defend it--not to mention Hak and my cousin, Soo-won! I'm sure we'll be just fine.

Well.... it's not that peace isn't important, but they like to fight every once and a while! Kija and Hak are especially rowdy... And their muscles are really good looking and they might lose them otherwise. So... I imagine as long as we can solve it with some jello wrestling like at Ardahir's wedding with Loki, it'll all be fine.

You almost sound like you're jealous, but everyone knows that King's an incredible catch.

[He's already on full stalker mode, Hiryuu. How much more attention do you want him to pay?]

Jealous? Ha! There's no one that can replace King. Not in this life or the next.

And speaking of next lives.

What happened to the production? Did you graduate to come here?

Well, I'm glad at least that much we can agree on. And, no, we trounced them and escaped that awful place. You should know, you were there!

So who's running Hell now?

[ she pauses for a moment, hand rising to her necklace. sighs. ]

No one is. Hell is no more.

[bluescreenwhitedragon]

Uh.

Huh.




How?

What do you mean, "how?" --We fought obviously, and--I'm sure it was hard, but we did it!

[bluescreenwhitedragon]

And then what? What happened to the demons, the Damned, the fallen angels? The worlds under the control of the Liars and Vengeance?

What happens to people when they die now?

[dragonheartedgirl]

I--

[ She looks frightened. Her hand flashes up to her locket and squeezes down hard on the piece of jewelry. In spite of this, though--she does not seem much settled. In fact--it's a little faint, but it seems like some of the locks of her hair are changing color, becoming red again. ]

I don't... How should I know what becomes of the dead now? I'm just--an ordinary girl! And my duties are--here, to the people of Kouka.

[bluescreenwhitedragon]

Please. You never get to be ordinary.

Or perhaps more precisely, you would never settle for ordinary.

That's not true!

[ So she says but

her hand squeezes the locket too tight, and it breaks under the pressure, completely shattering into the palm of her hand. Instantly--her fiery red hair, her slitted pupils, the horns, fangs tail--it all poofs back into place, as though it was never gone. ]

[dragonheartedgirl]

... I didn't know. I didn't know, what it would mean--what it really meant--

[ There is a distant sound from behind you--like something exploding. ]

Everything that's gone wrong... has all been because I wasn't born "ordinary!"

[bluescreenwhitedragon]

If we start talking about destiny now, I swear to---

. . .

How can you be so sure things wouldn't have been worse if it was someone else in your place?

[ Don't worry, Intensity. ]

Because! "I" set everything into motion--and generations of good people have suffered and died waiting for "me"--and now because of the prophecy the whole country--

[dragonheartedgirl]

[ There is a second, much, much louder crash now, and-- a giantic plume of smoke and a blast of debris (rock and plaster and red tile flying everywhere) that fills the air, blocking out the view of the gate leading to the castle exit, followed by a rush of flames and the bellow of something gigantic. Yet a third crash resounds, and the ground and walls of the palace shake.

A dark shadow fills the smoke, creeping, until a red, horned head breaks through the clouds, followed by the rest of its serpentine body. It's already massive, having apparently outgrown the shrine in which it was previously housed, and still growing, bits and pieces of gold flake falling off its hide.

It stalks forward, amethyst eyes focusing dead on the both of you.

As I was saying--Why talk about destiny when you can fight it? ]

[Grabbing Hiryuu by the wrist and yanking her away]

Hope those two boytoys of yours are as good as you say they are.

[Because he's a noodle card boy with no weapons and powers. What do you want him to do against a dragon with no trading cards?]

[ Hiryuu stumbles after him, unprepared for being tugged along. After all, she was busy staring at the enormous dragon that's emerged from the defunct Palace shrine.

The good news is that—your phone is going off. It seems like it’s working again? If you bother to check it--there's a notification that says

Congratulations! You've unlocked the Reward:
Unit Skills ]

[ The bad news is--the giant dragon is well aware that you're trying to exit stage right, and it doesn't seem very happy about it. The beast roars again and then quick like a viper, its neck snaps outward: it scoops up the blond man with its mouth. There is an audible, terrible cronch as its jaws close on him, teeth sinking in--there's almost certainly no way that he could survive that. ]

No! Soo-won!

[ Hiryuu tries to pull out of Intensity's grip, but--he's a card boy. His ankles might be third rate, but his grip's a lot better. ]

"Stay back princess!" The remaining black-haired man shouts. "Get her somewhere safe!"

[bluescreenwhitedragon]

[Oh. Powers, you say.

Well then.

Time to fight dragon with dragon]

Come forth, my pride and soul.

[And Blue Eyes swoops down, claws leading against the dragon. Sorry Soo-won. Better luck next life]

[ The dragon roars with shock and pain and anger, rolling onto its side, and tries to lash out with its rather stubby legs against its new mechanical opponent. Unfortunately, metal is gonna beat flesh every time, and even when its claws do manage to connect, they just sort of glance off the slick chassis. It does have one weapon left to its avail, though, and the red dragon's mouth snaps closed around Blue Eyes's neck, attempting to sever it.

All of this commotion provides Hak with an excellent opportunity to dart in and attempt to cut at the red dragon's underbelly with his spear. So long as he can manage to stay out of the two behemoths' way, he might actually stand a chance at being a help to taking it down. Still, though, he's shouting back, ]

Hey! You have any other handy tricks up your sleeve?!
