Hiryuu Ideal World {Session 3}
Your character's primary goal will be to convince Hiryuu to leave her ideal world. This is ICly known.
For the bulk of your character's journey (perhaps, even, the entire journey, depending on what they do along the way) your character will not have access to their unit's powerset. Please see the START for more IC information. Depending on how you go about your quest you may or may not encounter dangers or traumas.
Any items that your character had on their person before entering the game will remain with them for the duration of the game! However, all technological items will cease functioning before they leave the start area. Please see the START for more IC information.
In order to provide some guidance, key components / places are bolded, but just because something isn't in bold doesn't mean you can't interact with it. Go wild!
Your channel and ping for the duration of this game are both #/@dragonworld; please join your runner in the chan by typing .iam dragonworld in the roles-assignment channel. If you have any questions, or whenever your character is making an action/moving or otherwise needs gamerunner attention, you can ping me there.

[ Okay, what happens when he stoops to pick up the mask and just throws it to her. ]
She's not real, Hiryuu.

[ Hiryuu stoops down to touch her
mother's?
doll's? shoulder
but the moment she touches her—the doll disappears, leaving behind only her mother’s clothing laying one the floor. ]

Placing a gentle hand on Hiryuu's shoulder ]
She's not real. None of this is.

[ She's holding onto the clothing like it's some kind of life line. Her eyes are--filled with a painful sort of hope. ]
Or--some kind of game of yours? I promise--I won't be angry.
[ Denial and bargaining; that's two stages of grief right there in one go! ]

I'm sorry, Hiryuu. It's a dream, and I'm here to wake you up.
Do you really think I'd hide an entire marriage from you?

[ Her hand lifts to her locket. And squeezes down on it. It doesn't seem to be giving her much comfort, though. ]
You just... forgot! Everybody forgets things. And dad's fine! And...

[ His fingers wrap around the wrist still hanging onto that clothing, so he can guide her over to her father.
And place her hand right over the blood on his clothing. ]

there's no way to not see what she's touching. In her other hand--there is a soft, popping, cracking noise as the locket in her fist is crushed in her grip. ]
Daddy?
[ The stain of blood on the front of King Il's robe spreads, turning fresh red under her fingers—until it becomes so large it's dripping off the hems of his robes and sleeves and onto the floor. King Il himself sags and almost seems to deflate in his chair.
Hiryuu's voice is barely above a whisper, but-- ]
This isn't possible. It’s… he’s not… Please… please tell me, this is just a nightmare?!
[ Roll 1d6. ]

I'm sorry.
You have to wake up and return to us.

Unfortunately… now… is a bad time to be crying. Because at that very moment, the doors behind you swing closed, and a man with a familiar (and yet somehow alien and shifting) face steps out from the shadows behind the throne. He’s carrying a sword and it’s covered in blood—so is he--and he’s not alone. Two soldiers, one flanking either side of him, step out as well, carrying weapons of their own.]
I'm afraid we can't let you take the Princess.
[ Before you can say or do anything—a bomb goes off. Multiple bombs. Bits of shrapnel and splinters of wood (well, some of them are as big as your head, look out if you don’t want to be impaled) go flying as smoke and dust and, great fun! Fire! Fill the room. When the dust clears enough that you can see again, you can see that there is now a very large, dark chasm between you and the Princess, who’s still clutching her mother’s clothing and now sitting in a pool of blood.
And as for the building itself (or what's left of it after the explosion)…. How strange. It doesn’t look like the palace anymore at all but some sort of strange mish-mash between a Dining Room and a Foyer.... but not just any Dining Room or Foyer. You know--from that mansion? ]
