Hiryuu Ideal World {Session 3}

WELCOME TO IDEAL WORLDS: ANCIENT PSEUDO-KOREAN DRAGON GODS EDITION.

Your character's primary goal will be to convince Hiryuu to leave her ideal world. This is ICly known.

For the bulk of your character's journey (perhaps, even, the entire journey, depending on what they do along the way) your character will not have access to their unit's powerset. Please see the START for more IC information. Depending on how you go about your quest you may or may not encounter dangers or traumas.

Any items that your character had on their person before entering the game will remain with them for the duration of the game! However, all technological items will cease functioning before they leave the start area. Please see the START for more IC information.

In order to provide some guidance, key components / places are bolded, but just because something isn't in bold doesn't mean you can't interact with it. Go wild!

Your channel and ping for the duration of this game are both #/@dragonworld; please join your runner in the chan by typing .iam dragonworld in the roles-assignment channel. [ Well, she's effectively holding onto a giant sparkler. The light is--dazzling, dozens and dozens of tiny flares popping off against the inky pitch of the--????--that Northstar has thrust it at. There's a strange hissing sound from the thing, like the static noise you hear from a TV set that can't find a signal--and it seems like it's trying to recede a little. The other sparklers whistle by overhead, and although some miss their mark, a few manage to strike the strange thing--which in response, shrinks. ]

"It's working! Hit it again!"

Alright!

[Northstar slips away for a second to grab one of the ones that missed the mark off of the ground. Then, she lunges again, swinging one arm after the other at the darkness, repeatedly.]

You're going to give! Those! People! Back!

[ The darkness retreats, or tries to--stumbling as it shrinks further and further. Spots of--is that blood?--fall when Northstar's firecracker hits it repeatedly; said substance has a reflective, dull, silvery appearance.

As it becomes smaller still, the shape--solidifies, until it has a vaguely humanoid silhouette. It's slightly feminine--with long flowing hair--and seems to be off-balance on its feet. -- Which it shortly rectifies, as many wings open up and it takes to the sky.

Hak throws his spear at it--attempting to nail it down to a tree--but the spear passes into the unknown thing and doesn't come back out. ]

"Dammit! It's getting away!"

[ Kija moves as though to bat it out of the sky with his giant claw, but Yoon shouts at him, ]

"Don't! If you touch that thing, you'll end up just like the spear!"

[Northstar is ready to swing for the fences on this thing's Face as soon as it has something that starts to resemble a head, but then she sees that hair and she hesitates for just a second, losing her own balance. It's only a second, but that's enough and it's flying away. She takes in a breath and tries to think. Then she spins around, both firecrackers still in her hand.]

Give me the rest of the sticks - and whichever one of you is the strongest, pick me up and throw me at it!

"Are you crazy?!" Hak's quip is less helpful than Yellow's follow-up: "Are you sure, Miss? That sounds dangerous!"

[You don't need empathy to tell this but it sure does help - she's really sure.]

Everything about this is already dangerous! And if you're not willing to be at least a bit crazy, you're never going to get anywhere in life!

[ another hot-headed heart soldier, I see. ]

[ Hak scratches the back of his head. ]

"If you're sure. White Snake?"

"It is Hakuryuu! Hakuryuu!"

[ Kija huffs but then turns his attention to Northstar. ]

"Please, ma'am, if you would kindly step onto my claw."

[ Said claw has been grown to the size of a small boat--definitely big enough to hoist her up with. Or throw her. ]

[She hops into the claw without hesitation.]

I am not going to break every bone in my body doing this.

[...she may be trying to convince herself of that rather than anybody else.]

Alright. I'm ready! Throw me!

"As you wish!"

[ And THROW HER HE DOES; you'd think with his limb having grown to such proportions and supporting the weight of a whole other person would be--pretty much impossible, but no, she goes flying, like a human baseball, aimed right at the thing still trying to get fly away. ]

[Oh my, this is faster than I thought it would be.

She quickly channels the fear and adrenaline she's feeling into focus on what's in front of her and getting closer very quickly. She throws the sticks she gathered up rapid fire as fast as she can, trying to nail its wings, saving one in her hands, which, once she's close, she swings at the thing's head as hard as it can.]

You're not getting away without returning those people!
