Chaos is inevitable in this world. Pure good can’t be achieved, and pure evil breaks down. And these two extremes are always incompatible with each other. There is still some evil in a good world. That is how the world is, and it is what continues to create ugly things. Evil sneers at good, and good rages over evil. But, in a world where good and evil oppose each other, there is a group that is far more numerous that always appears.

That is ‘grey’. Neither good nor evil. A group that drifts through life haphazardly and merely exists. They don’t believe in goodness and are simply proud that they aren’t evil. Even though they affirm evil acts, they deny evil intentions. They happily say that ‘I am not evil, I am a good person’ and pardon all forms of cruelty.

They kill people while sneering. They kill people out of contempt. They kill people as part of a game. They use the excuse that they can’t restrain their desires—That’s how humans are. That’s how the world is.

Yes—this world is extremely ugly. Neither dyed by good nor fallen into evil. Unable to decide on a color, the wills of people continue to waver. As long as such evil intentions and such foul-smelling corpses aren’t destroyed.

The world will surely continue to rot eternally.

While wrapped within a curse-like fog in darkness frozen to its core.

it's a good thing he's at the bottom of the hill now so he can break down laughing-~~crying~~ without getting in anyone else's way. wow. it's just a complete sludge of awful. the only thing that sticks out to him with any real meaning anymore is just that he's an ugly human with an ugly heart. ]

[ once he's shoved Ao into the Grail, he finally steps out—the stone sinks back into itself, and his legs seem to be fine. This doesn't matter to Leo, except insofar as he's walking down the hill now, to him. ]

and by react i mean, badly. his laughter stops as he hears someone -- something -- coming near him because all of a sudden, without bothering to think who is coming after him and why, his entire self screams run.

but his heart is racing so loud in his ears that he can barely even hear whatever the hell luci is saying anyways. he has the look of prey-- but really, who can blame him? those memories are old scars for luci, but for him they're fresh and screaming and raw in his head. ]

... don't come close. [ it's a sharp hiss, as he's crouched himself beside a tree. ]

I didn't really want to wake you up in the first place.

[ by the way, does anyone remember Rye's BERSERKER, because for whatever reason that seems to still exist on the field, so to speak, and now it's starting to lumber toward them both. ]

[ ............... nuh uh he remembers the battle rules. kinda. well, no, he remembers what lucifel did more-like and he summons blue saber in the hopes of countering the berserker ]

[ fortunately for him the blue SABER materializes, shattering the BERSERKER. It dissolves away, its card turning to ash. ]

[ ..... his heart calms down significantly when that works. right back to crouching down and glowering at luci like he's a particularly spooked cat. please imagine his tail flicking in irritation if you would have let him keep it ]

Besides, it wasn't just because I wanted to break things. It's because I hated seeing you so calm and countering Ao like it was nothing, acting so high and above everyone else. You didn't even tell that moon Witch what you wanted to do up here-- not really, right? You told her just enough to keep her happy. I hate that kind of thing, so I was pissed off.

[ considering his words for a moment, before giving him a smile that doesn't reach his eyes ]

actually, from his crouched position he abruptly pushes himself off-- lunging forwards to run again, but this time past lucifel and up the grassy hill. towards that rock. ]
