Then a bright light, a pure white crystal, taller than the dorms itself, appears in front of you. It's voice echoes in your mind.

A Light there once was that shone throughout this realm... yet it has since grown dim
And as it has faltered so has the Darkness risen up in its stead, presaging an end to life.
For the sake of us all, I beseech thee deliver us from this fate.
If thou would pierce the shadows... make thee a blade of light.
Hold onto it, child.
Return His Dark servants to your realm.
But beware, ever is He trying to grow his power. Do not get caught.


And the light vanishes you find yourself with a crystal in your hand.



Though you are again left in in Darkness before you find yourself in a vast city standing in front of a large teleportation device.

Objectives (if your character can translate Hydaelyn vagueness):
1) Convince both Ascians to leave
2) Don't get tempered :) (or killed for those with cw mind control exceptions)

Additionally you may choose EITHER canon or OR imeeji powers to be active. You can wait to decide until you use a power, but once you use a power that powerset is locked in as your choice.

Also if people are in the same area as you feel free to mingle. It is in fact encouraged. Also your phones work only to text and take pictures (basically for the purpose of communicating in case you are in different spots).

There are papers and crystals everywhere. Probably the most notable is a short treatise titled “preliminary notes on Primal Summoning, Methods and Analysis” and a report titled simple “Fear”

The notes go over the methods of using one’s will to manifest a creature of great power to serve their wish. The method is actually very simple, one only needs a great amount of available aether, and a strong will and faith in their wish. The notes mention crystals and even ambient aether in a place like Amaurot should be enough to summon such an entity, and go on about the usefulness they could have in combating monsters born of unchecked creation. The exciting part, the notes mention, is even those with limited creation potential or whose own limits are taxed could perform a summoning with outside aether; all the summoner needs is the will and belief. It is a most exciting method of creating a being to serve your will.

After reading the notes, you realize, even you could do it, probably.

A report detailing the phenomena of monsters from across the sea, always spawning after an instance of “the Sound”. The report notes that when the Sound causes terror, it also makes one lose control of their Creation magic. It further speculates that such unchecked powers of creation in combination with one's inner fears being heightened causes the fears to manifest. As the monsters become real, and those who are affected are unable to defend themselves without control of their powers, the fear spreads to those around them. The effects become exponential, and no city yet has withstood the cascade of Fear made manifest.
