You find yourself in a moral dilemma. . . the shopkeeper caught your daughter stealing, and they've reported to you that it is a small object—just a metal ring, costing no more than five pieces of gold. Still, the shopkeeper emphasizes how important it is that stealing not happen—yet your daughter believes that because it is a trifle, it shouldn't count.
