Except this bear's already taken quite a few blows to the head, so when the chair hits it there again its attack goes wild.

The injured bear is trying to rise, but your blow to the back brings it low again. It collapses back to the ground, paws scrabbling for purchase on the torn carpet.

Everything was so much easier when he had a claw to fight a bear with. ]

And it's up again. Oh, good. The bear snaps at him, and hopefully it'll make him back off a bit, even if it doesn't do any actual damage. But actual damage would be nice.

[ He doesn't completely dodge that...snap? [1] But whether it gets him or not, it doesn't stop him from reacting. Using a broken chair with his free hand he sideswipes the creature in the head (2) ]

That is enough cranial trauma for one bear.

The blow shatters its skull, sending it twitching to the ground, blood and matter seeping slowly into its fur from its broken skull. It scrabbles weakly at the floor for a moment, maybe two, before it stills.

[Sidesteps the dead bear and approaches Levi]

[holds out a hand, fortunately it's not the one bleeding with splinters sticking out]

You were quite impressive.

[ He is still getting used to this handshake thing... but he reaches out and does in fact shake it...! Levi himself probably has a bit of blood on his arm and his chest hurts after getting thrown into the ground but. Tis but a flesh wound. ]

I am incredibly relieved to see that Pep will remain as strong as ever.

. . . I do not have access to my unit abilities to help heal that injury at the moment, however.

When we return... if it is not automatically healed, I will be sure to seek you out. I am usually vexed by my unit's power set, but then it seems when I do not have it, I feel troubled, too.
