That's the first thought that crosses your mind as soon as your consciousness comes back up. You're not even sure if that's your own thought, but the feeling doesn't leave no matter how much time has passed. The room looks nice and cozy, but everything feels wrong. You don't belong here, you're you, aren't you?

You'll soon notice that there are other things that just isn't right. You can talk, but is your mouth moving? You can see, but are your eyes blinking? You also have ball joints. Nothing hurts, and you're fine, but it's a little weird.

It would be impossible for us to have just one member of Wild City speak for what makes us human. Because humans aren't that easily defined. We're not cookie cutters and everyone's definition is different.

And, while we remain different people...we're ultimately a team. And being on this team is what helped all of us become the humans we are right now. So, it would only be right to have all the 'pieces' of our 'whole' speak.

So, without further ado, for your consideration....a Wild City presentation!

Allow me to begin.

What makes us human? There are, of course, obvious physical attributes like opposable thumbs which allow us to use tools, but humans are not all built the same. We lose limbs, suffer injuries, are born with so called "defects" or "anomalies". The physical form does not define us.

We define ourselves. We know who we are. We know what we are. Our people know what we are. They accept us for it. They love us, and provide the security and community that we crave as humans. We despair together, because we know that there is suffering and injustice in the world, often our own, and that we cannot possibly stop it all in our lifetimes. And, as humans do, we have the spite to try anyway.

What could possibly be more human than that? To look at insurmountable odds, to feel the discouragement before you have even begun, and to furiously forge a way past it anyway simply because you refuse to accept your fate?
