That's the first thought that crosses your mind as soon as your consciousness comes back up. You're not even sure if that's your own thought, but the feeling doesn't leave no matter how much time has passed. The room looks nice and cozy, but everything feels wrong. You don't belong here, you're you, aren't you?

You'll soon notice that there are other things that just isn't right. You can talk, but is your mouth moving? You can see, but are your eyes blinking? You also have ball joints. Nothing hurts, and you're fine, but it's a little weird.

Well, the only thing I would care to sacrifice as a preventive measure would be our memories, but that fortunately doesn't appear to be on the table.

And since we have some new faces, I suppose I some tactical information is warranted. BARiTONES protects itself first, placing itself paramount. But we are not without our allies. Two in particular we have strong ties and non-agressions with. Avante and Future is Now, though the later is more strained as Silence and Kohime are not with us. But I don't imagine they would simply start targeting us now.

I believe we have the most core elements of humanity. Love, mortality, hubris, all alike make up the essential elements of what it means to be human. I would argue there is nothing more human than the knowledge that some day you may die! While you have the hope that you can avert such a fate for as long as possible.

And having a mouth and brains so as to speak to our many desires can only help! As well as having a heart for our love to speak through. Of which we have copious amounts.

To be human is to be to be a firework, ultimately ephemeral, but shining as brightly and loudly all the more for it before time claims your silence. It is not just being a series of scant moments in the face of the eternity of an ambivalent and endless universe. It is seizing those moments for your own knowing that they will end, and being living, breathing proof they matter and make a difference.

It takes a moment for a stone to cast a ripple, one that ripple can become a tidal wave that reaches far shores and topples mountains if you have but the will to be. Make no mistake, to be a human is to die, and that is what we will do and why we are the most human. But please believe me, so many things can happen in that time before, made so much more important and vivid. We can love, we can aspire, achieve, think, laugh, dream, topple and do better than what came before.

It is to be a brilliant firework in the sky of the universe because you don't give a damn about its ambivalence. You make it stop its endless sprawling and look. You spit in the face of its unfathomable infinite and SHOUT! You were HERE. You EXISTED. You MATTERED.

If only for moments.
