What do you think you would do with eternity? It is hardly boring, though people seem to think it would be, if you have even a little imagination and are not alone.

Maybe if those friends were immortal too. Otherwise I think I'd just miss all the people I outlived.

It's already weird, thinking 'bout how dad's probably gonna outlive me.

Ah yes. The friends should not die too readily that is a must.

But does it bother you, that he may live a long time? I imagine if the thought has occurred to him he hates it.

I don't think he'd take to me dying very well. And I don't want him t'be upset, but... at least he'd have you?

And that... Is the plan. Barring any complications. Yet I wonder if you have not inherited any of the demon traits?

He says I might have a demon form, but even if I manage to have enough demonic energy to keep it up, I'm still gonna live like a human. No matter how much I slow it down, he's gonna last longer.

I wonder-- when I die, would he have no reason t'have anything to do with the human world anymore? Even if Dante's around?

Sparda had a big legacy - obviously dad would wanna live up to that. But if his mom had her legacy forgotten, when she was in his life more and took care of him on her own, I'd feel... kinda sad about that.

Plus, I think Dante would miss having someone around to stab.

But do you think he would be forgetting her, if he chooses to embrace his demonic side over his human?

Eugh. I said I wanted to protect him. He kept saying no. 'Cause he's stubborn and doesn't want me t'be in danger.

I get it, I just, got frustrated.

He is your father. Regardless of your history or his transgressions against you, he would naturally hate hearing his son wanted to protect him. Would you not feel the same, if one of your children declared such?

But that is the nature of love, one tends to want to protect the object of it regardless of their capabilities. And it can be frustrating to be the recipient.
