[ He looks around, passing through the first gate., head tipping back to take in the sight.

He pauses at the second gate. ]

Closed...?

[ There has to be something that will allow them to open it though. He looks around for anything that might stand out. Keys, a lever, writing... something that looks different from the rest of the area. ]

[ Through the grated gaps in the gate, you can see beyond: a wide courtyard with winding paths in the distance, some similarly gated. More relevant to your current predicament, there is a winch, visible but out of reach, with silvery chains glimmering as they stretch to reach the wall. The chains are let out right now, not spooled around the winch's center. ]

[ Is he able to reach the chains at all? ]

. . . Of course the mechanism is out of reach.

[ If there is anything useful within reaching distance he will try for that. ]

...Did you bring anything that we could reach with? It seems like we'll have to break in. I tried knocking, but no one is home.

[ He frowns, shaking his head. ]

My claw is longer than my other arm, but it's not really enough. All I have with me are medical supplies and a few different potions. I have my weapon... but--

[ OH -- ]

I have my weapon... it's a whip blade. I can maybe try and wind it around something--

[ Would using his weapon work? OH- ]

Fleshcrafting sounds completely disgusting, but whatever helps.

[ TBH he does not want to destroy his weapon in case he needs it or mess things up. So instead, he is going to use Crawling in my skin... and begin to make his hand longer and longer and longer while rearranging things in order to reach for that gate.

Sometimes... you gotta do something a little gross to get creative. ]

[ wow yeah that's gross but also: effective. your arm is now really skinny but also very long and now... long enough to reach the winch, thank goodness.

and also once you get purchase on it and start tugging it down an avante avantes at it and helps get it the rest of the way. Chains begin to move, and the gate begins to open. ]

Except there is a Bee buzzing around by him and he's having a panic attack. So he's going to tug as fast and hard as he can along side Avante so that he can get as far away from the bee as possible. ]
