So she steps back, nervously stripping off her jacket, and then moves forward to just plunge her arm in –– submerging Lilith's creepy bracelet still in its usual concealing bandage wrapping.

Maybe it's possible to just use Holy Water like it's acid and melt off a freaky demon contract. The world is a wild and crazy place, after all.]

[Letting out a long keening hiss, but that means it's working –– right?

So she grits her teeth and pushes herself to go in deeper, where she felt the warmth.]

[ Despite its coolness, it's not frigid; it's pleasantly cool, warmer to the bottom as though the fountainhead itself was heated.

It would almost be an entirely pleasant time, if that burning in your arm wasn't there—but it burns, and burns so much it feels like it's burning through your veins, burning through your bones, burning into your marrow—

And then . . . that's it.

You can feel it crumble, the material breaking and dissolving into the water—the pain finally subsides, leaving you tired and weary. You feel more whole—and at the same time, as though you've lost something. ]

[Scrambling back out, for once not caring that she's sopping wet, and pulling at the bandage to see –– it takes her a few tries, but she gets it off, still half-expecting to see it there.]
