[ The trinkets are just that: trinkets. Necklaces, bands, simply jewelry of gold and silver. They glisten in the sun, but staring directly at them will start to hurt your eyes - if you stare too long, you might get snow blindness.

Just like the fruit on the trees, the pitchers' metals are almost impossibly vivid. They’re golden, too bright to be real, but inside you can smell fresh milk. The sweet scent of honey wafts from another pitcher, and from another, fresh wine.

As for the game pieces—you're not familiar with this game, exactly, but it somewhat looks like chess . . . ? There are pieces in different shapes and sizes, as well as different colors. The board is checkered, etched into the stone. Each piece is heavily layered with thick light.

This looks like it was set out for a decent-sized group of people to have a fun, light time. Just that perhaps no one ever arrived? ]

[Time to pocket; several trinkets and fruits, and a set if game pieces. Now to find the wine jug. What happens if he tries to turn the wine into water?]

[ Strangely, it doesn't change; perhaps because even just smelling it, this seems to be wine beyond wine—perhaps the wine that all wines aspire to be. Like it is already perfection, and already knows what it is, and cannot be changed. ]

I have extra plastic bags, as well. I was hoping to keep a pitcher or two for myself.

Pouring it on the ground under a tree and keeping the pitcher. And actually picking up and folding a picnic blanket to drape over an arm. Blankets can be surprisingly handy. Time to head down the hallway.]
