Just like the fruit on the trees, the pitchers' metals are almost impossibly vivid. They’re golden, too bright to be real, but inside you can smell fresh milk. The sweet scent of honey wafts from another pitcher, and from another, fresh wine.
As for the game pieces—you're not familiar with this game, exactly, but it somewhat looks like chess . . . ? There are pieces in different shapes and sizes, as well as different colors. The board is checkered, etched into the stone. Each piece is heavily layered with thick light.
This looks like it was set out for a decent-sized group of people to have a fun, light time. Just that perhaps no one ever arrived? ]

Pouring it on the ground under a tree and keeping the pitcher. And actually picking up and folding a picnic blanket to drape over an arm. Blankets can be surprisingly handy. Time to head down the hallway.]
