[ You're not familiar with this game, exactly, but it somewhat looks like chess . . . ? There are pieces in different shapes and sizes, as well as different colors. The board is checkered, etched into the stone. Each piece is heavily layered with thick light.

But you swipe one despite not knowing what it is. If you don't know rules, you can invent them, right? ]

[ The trinkets are just that: trinkets. Necklaces, bands, simply jewelry of gold and silver. They glisten in the sun, but staring directly at them will start to hurt your eyes—if you stare too long, you might get snow blindness.

When you touch one, it glistens brightly, too brightly, almost to the point of being its own light source. Where you touch it, though, that brightness dusts away onto your fingertips, leaving them with their own glow and returning the trinket itself to a more natural sheen. ]
