[ You flee from the shape—rightly so, as it sings menacingly, chasing you down. It doesn't relent until you run yourself right out the exit—to the gates, though no further. In your freedom, you see a clear blue sky and . . . the ground rapidly approaching. ]

We tripped the trap a long time ago. Now we just gotta survive!

Well, they probably were going to slam into the ground to their deaths, but Levity was finally smart enough to listen to people around him and get some abilities the other day. His pet, responding to its master's internal terrified screaming, streaks in from the direction of their dorm, folding its wings and swooping down beside them. Three of them now.

Levity gasps in relief, angles himself in the air to grab onto the mechabird's neck with one arm and reaches to Jason with the other.]

Jason! Can't carry us for long but--!

[Maybe they can at least crash and roll at an angle instead of, you know, splattering down.]

[Levity doesn't comment yet because he's busy steering his damn bird. But Jason really ought to buy abilities, imagine not having to die because you have nothing to defend yourself with?

After pulling Jason onboard, so to speak, the bird spreads its wings again, flanges and thrusters shifting to change the angle, and manages to turn the fall into a more horizontal swoop before the last moment. They still have a lot of momentum, though, and Levity isn't at all certain about the layout to easily direct the pet somewhere safe, so there's quite a bit of frantic circling between buildings and other landmarks before they finally lose enough speed to land. If Jason isn't holding on tightly enough, though, he might get thrown off during all that.]
