[ Talon's going to pretend he didn't feel that, rushing to strengthen the shield over Raven and add a few rushed spikes of his own to the drawing, aimed at the witch this time.
He's determined and focused this time, drawing 2 blue tokens ]
Cosmo picks off one of her head, while Talon's spikes rain onto her and skewer the rest of her body on inky black spears.
She screeches, gargling on her own thick, black blood, "How do you have so much power left...?"
Finally going limp, the rest of her rotten mass comes crashing down in a wet, thunderous crash. With a few more weak twitches, she finally goes still - and her body begins to dissolve into ash.
Raven finally limps out from his hiding place, still weary but - relieved. “I see I was right to entrust my life to you.”
[ Well, he can take his time on drawing up a phoenix rising from the ashes, a few feathers falling away as it ascends. It might be a little blood smeared. Now that they're not fighting for their lives it's more of a creative effort, which is convenient since he's pulled 2 red tokens ]
Sure what the hell. An inky black phoenix rises from his sketchbook, bestowing its blessing upon them all. Though they rejuvenate no tokens from the effort, their wounds do close over, and the pain fades.
Raven shakes his head, leaning heavily on his cane.
“No. You've done quite enough. ...Thank you.”
You hear the gratitude in his weakened voice, but if anything, it’s you that feels grateful. That you were able to actually protect something precious to you. If you could’ve been sure that there was a God to hear it, you might have even thanked him - that you were here in time, that you had the strength.
Without strength, you can’t protect anything.
(That’s what strength is for.)
(and why you need,)
(power, strength,)
(you need it)
But he’s safe, he’s safe - you comfort yourself with those words, that they could be true for at least a little longer. And that’s enough for now.
The illusion around you shatters - and you are returned to the floating platform.
Raven’s statue dissolves - the gun absorbing the blue energies that spill out, and the book absorbing the red. The base becomes another pillar of light, spilling out from a portal to the next level.

Re: LEVEL 3B
...Are you both likely to live? Good. Can you draw us some bandages Talon? Or perhaps a phoenix with healing feathers?

However, they don't lead to the same place.
