Vergil's heart game r1
You feel weak, your body won't move no matter how you try, and you are falling, away from everything you know and love. Away from everything you need to accomplish. If you could just reach out, maybe you could hold on to it, claw your way back. But it's a useless endeavour, you fall unconscious, and your mind goes blank except for poetry and a familiar voice.
O mother Enitharmon, wilt thou bring forth other sons?
To cause my name to vanish, that my place may not be found,
For I am faint with travail,
Like the dark cloud disburden'd in the day of dismal thunder.
My roots are brandish'd in the heavens, my fruits in earth beneath
Surge, foam and labour into life, first born and first consum'd!
Consumed and consuming!
Then why shouldst thou, accursed mother, bring me into life?
You wake on the ground in a cave, cold, wet, and sticky. It smells of rotting flesh. Your objective is clear, but you can't recall a name or face. Nothing else about your memory of him is changed, but for some reason the name "Vergil" just won't come to you, and you couldn't describe how he looks if your life depended on it. But at least your body starts to respond to your will, slowly regaining enough strength to carry on.

Hello!

Re: MIRROR WORLD: DEVIL MAY CRY
You're not a corpse, are you?
Re: MIRROR WORLD: DEVIL MAY CRY
There's a flashing voicemail indicator by the telephone, and, you guessed it, more garbage strewn about. A pizza box that's still mostly full and not yet cold. There's uh, a lot of olives on this. There's also a framed photo of the blonde woman from the manor, smiling softly.
Re: MIRROR WORLD: DEVIL MAY CRY
[ well, TAKES THE AMULET, I GUESS. then stares at the flashing phone and presses some buttons until he manages to play it. ]
Re: MIRROR WORLD: DEVIL MAY CRY
It isn't always visible, but this is something he tends to wear daily, so chances are you've seen it on him.
There's a pause, the line doesn't seem to be good, plenty of crackling, but after a moment a message starts to play. A familiar voice to those who know Nero, "Hey, you two killed each other yet? I don't wanna have to come pick up any bodies so keep it together, dumbasses. Anyway we got Glory and Raven here right now so I was thinking you guys should come by too. Dad's gotta meet the grandkids sometime. Quit trying to avoid it, old man. Neither of you got an excuse for not visiting with Yamato."
Re: MIRROR WORLD: DEVIL MAY CRY

Re: MIRROR WORLD: DEVIL MAY CRY
But on the bright side, the jostling knocks the thing Dante was clutching out of his hand and onto the floor. Another amulet, nearly identical to the other, but in silver, with Dante's name carved on the back.
Re: MIRROR WORLD: DEVIL MAY CRY
So that's two out of three tasks...
Re: MIRROR WORLD: DEVIL MAY CRY
You could poke around in here if you want, or the throne room was the place Vergil mentioned.
Re: MIRROR WORLD: DEVIL MAY CRY
and THEN go to the - no first he's going to pop back into the intro cave and pick up his taisho outfit again. THEN he's going to get changed out of the wizard robes. THEN the throne room. ]
