Vergil's heart game r2
You feel weak, your body won't move no matter how you try, and you are falling, away from everything you know and love. Away from everything you need to accomplish. If you could just reach out, maybe you could hold on to it, claw your way back. But it's a useless endeavour, you fall unconscious, and your mind goes blank except for poetry and a familiar voice.
O mother Enitharmon, wilt thou bring forth other sons?
To cause my name to vanish, that my place may not be found,
For I am faint with travail,
Like the dark cloud disburden'd in the day of dismal thunder.
My roots are brandish'd in the heavens, my fruits in earth beneath
Surge, foam and labour into life, first born and first consum'd!
Consumed and consuming!
Then why shouldst thou, accursed mother, bring me into life?
You wake on the ground in a cave, cold, wet, and sticky. It smells of rotting flesh. Your objective is clear, but you can't recall a name or face. Nothing else about your memory of him is changed, but for some reason the name "Vergil" just won't come to you, and you couldn't describe how he looks if your life depended on it. But at least your body starts to respond to your will, slowly regaining enough strength to carry on.

Re: LIBRARY
He has to think about the other part though. "...I do want that part of me back. And I don't want to have to sit in the library and hear them in there anymore."
Re: LIBRARY
Then we wait for our esteemed Speaker to return with your sword. And I do plan to stay here with you until the end. I will be forcibly removed eventually.
But if it is all the same to you, I'm going to 'stretch'. This mortal form can be stifling.
[And his sigil will shine brightly before his face as his form swells under a purple cloud of mist. He offers a much larger eldritch arm for Vergil to curl and read on as they wait.]
Re: LIBRARY
Of course it's still demon form so he's still bigger which puts him around 6ft. Child sized.
"Do you want a book...?"
Re: LIBRARY
Re: LIBRARY
And the book, were you expecting regular science? Well this is demon science specifically. A lot of that is the same as the regular kind. But then there's all sorts of elements and types of organisms that don't exist anywhere but the Underworld.
Everything you wanted to know about gilgamesh, a demonic metal that multiplies itself by turning organic materials that come in contact with it. Or blood drinking demon plants like the Underworld's answer to the tree of life, the Qliphoth. Its roots grow mainly in the human world and pierce its prey to drain every drop of blood in them, collecting gallons upon gallons until the tree can bear a single fruit of concentrated power...
How particularly powerful demon souls convert themselves into weaponry imbued with their magical abilities when they fall.
Maybe some of this sounds like it's magic, but it's science, really!
Re: LIBRARY
And though he is the least book worm of the group, he's still a nerd and finds it fascinating. Especially since it does deal with another star's Underworld.
And he images that tree when in full bloom is a beautiful sight to see.]

Re: LIBRARY
Sorry, he will have to wake him if he and Lahabrea go punch the Angelos together, but until then he'll watch over him.]
