Vergil's heart game r2
You feel weak, your body won't move no matter how you try, and you are falling, away from everything you know and love. Away from everything you need to accomplish. If you could just reach out, maybe you could hold on to it, claw your way back. But it's a useless endeavour, you fall unconscious, and your mind goes blank except for poetry and a familiar voice.
O mother Enitharmon, wilt thou bring forth other sons?
To cause my name to vanish, that my place may not be found,
For I am faint with travail,
Like the dark cloud disburden'd in the day of dismal thunder.
My roots are brandish'd in the heavens, my fruits in earth beneath
Surge, foam and labour into life, first born and first consum'd!
Consumed and consuming!
Then why shouldst thou, accursed mother, bring me into life?
You wake on the ground in a cave, cold, wet, and sticky. It smells of rotting flesh. Your objective is clear, but you can't recall a name or face. Nothing else about your memory of him is changed, but for some reason the name "Vergil" just won't come to you, and you couldn't describe how he looks if your life depended on it. But at least your body starts to respond to your will, slowly regaining enough strength to carry on.

The other side is just garbage. Random notes and receipts, but especially from pawn shops. There are a few notes bearing a different signature from the others, which is not so neat as Dante's, but if you squint it probably says Vergil. All of these seem to be contracts and records for devil hunting.

There's also a small photo album, pocket size, set on top of the shelf.

Re: MIRROR WORLD: DEVIL MAY CRY
But that's just half the album, the other half is Five, Alexander and Cosmo, with guest appearances from other Baritones, Hargreeves, and Levity. Some look like they were taken in Amaurot, and that means the other Ascians he's seen are also in a few together with the grandpas.
Sometimes a man needs a terribly sentimental album to keep with him when he's going back and forth between worlds, you know?
Re: MIRROR WORLD: DEVIL MAY CRY
He's not sure. Eventually he puts it back, and instead goes and steals the photograph of Eva from Dante's desk. HE doesn't need it right now, if he's going to get upset he can stop being dead and do something about it. Pocketing that and checking the demon wall hanging. Interesting interior decoration.]
Re: MIRROR WORLD: DEVIL MAY CRY
But this one is very much dead and just sort of on display. There's a few darts in it even. Really pulls the place together!
Re: MIRROR WORLD: DEVIL MAY CRY
He will pull a piece of paper from one of the desk drawers, find something to write with, scribble Do Not Consume in big letters and pin it on Dead Dante before going to check out the weapons. Not that he needs any but they look interesting.]
Re: MIRROR WORLD: DEVIL MAY CRY
Inside the case and piled in the corner, others sticking out through the demon, there's guns, daggers, gauntlets, a mace, some sort of extendable polearm, spears, a lot of swords... Most are highly ornamented with distinct motifs. Usually very obviously This Is A Demon, skulls and claws and - you know, stuff like the Sparda sword. A spine or an eyeball for some reason.
Re: MIRROR WORLD: DEVIL MAY CRY
Some people are weird, he's just making sure.
And with stolen loot in hand he'll head back through the mirror.]
Re: MIRROR WORLD: DEVIL MAY CRY
Theft from a false world inside a mentalscape is the perfect crime, no court could convict you.
