Vergil's heart game r2

You feel weak, your body won't move no matter how you try, and you are falling, away from everything you know and love. Away from everything you need to accomplish. If you could just reach out, maybe you could hold on to it, claw your way back. But it's a useless endeavour, you fall unconscious, and your mind goes blank except for poetry and a familiar voice.

O mother Enitharmon, wilt thou bring forth other sons?

You wake on the ground in a cave, cold, wet, and sticky. It smells of rotting flesh. Your objective is clear, but you can't recall a name or face. Nothing else about your memory of him is changed, but for some reason the name "Vergil" just won't come to you, and you couldn't describe how he looks if your life depended on it. But at least your body starts to respond to your will, slowly regaining enough strength to carry on.

Wow who's that! Eva absolutely acts as if she has no clue, who could ever figure it out? "How strange, I'm afraid I don't recognise you at all? Are you lost?" Hard to hide the laugh though.

[He laughs and kisses her cheek.]

Just a mysterious traveler, fair dame. With a delivery.

[He will head in with her to put that portrait where it belongs!]

"My, so dashing even."

She also laughs and follows you in to oversee. It's just right on that hook, a perfect spot amongst everything else for it to fit. And now there's even a proper rack atop the fireplace for displaying a katana.

[Then he'll pace the Yamato as well. ]

And with that everything feels right. You could spend years in here poking at every issue of course, but at least as far as your intended objectives go, you've fully completed every task. Good work! Does the house feel a little warmer? It's cozy, and if you try to move anything that's been returned here, it won't budge.

"Not at all, you've already been given permission to do what you will, right?" She's looking at the sageo in your hair, smiling softly. It's all yours after all, Vergil's heart knows it!

[Why would he move the things he and Five spent so much effort putting into place? Or you know, mess up something that clearly belongs to him!]

I do. But just because I can do as I will does not mean I would disrespect any boundaries you may wish to put in place. My goal is to help heal, not harm.

"For just anyone to poke and prod, not only would he hate to have so much of himself seen, but they may very well ruin something. For the three of you, however, the latter seems unlikely, and the former is only what you're given anyway, hm? Particularly yourself. He might even be glad to know you paid such attention."

Naturally.

[He's arrogant! But it is nice to hear.]

Of course I intend to be nosy. After all, as you say, it is my right.

"And there is a comfort in that." She reaches out to hold your cheek for a moment, smiling softly, then steps forward to kiss it. "So go ahead, anything is open to you."

Well, if you want, you can wander around the rest of the house. It all just looks like a regular house, no doors to weird places that shouldn't be in one. But you might come across some that are definitely not in the real version of this house.

Of course! Forbidden unwritten heart areas go. You live here now, you're up in this thing, unlock the deep lore.

There's a hall of rooms with nameplates on the doors, familiar ones because they correspond pretty much exclusively to people you know. People Vergil cares very much for, specifically, and well there aren't really any of those you don't know. There's another giant library, and a music room, a study, one that's just full of swords... What sort of place do you want to start?

Obviously he's going to investigate name doors first he's a nosy gossip. Let's start with Five.]

The thing about Five's is, actually it's labelled for Five and Hades. It's a bedroom not unlike Hades' Baritones room. There's a lounge area with an extra large, luxurious couch for napping and a fancy coffee maker nearby. There's an ensuite, and a walk-in closet full of robes and suits. None are child-sized.

There's no overhead lights, just the look of the light of souls streaming through the sky in Amaurot, vibrant, many coloured, and moving. The bed is more than ample space for four, and another door on one of the side walls is like an adjoining hotel room door.

[This is cute. He'll check out every part of the room and then the adjoining door.

Because Vergil is a soft sap.]

There's basically anything either Five or Hades could possibly need or want. Not the other people in their lives, but there's framed photos of their friends and family on the walls, they can have reminders at least, to keep them happy here. Vergil doesn't want to be the only person anyone cares for. Just the most important.

The adjoining room - if you didn't check the plaque of the next one along the hall, it will still be obvious this is yours. Those crystalline blue roses are set out all over the room, among rows and rows of books ranging in subject, but largely science and magic. There's even shelves full of what appear to be your own studies and dissertations. Every single book in here is written in your own language, too.

There's a good sturdy desk, well organised, with a comfortable chair. The journal and pen Vergil gave you are sitting on top of it. Small bronze statues of some of your Creations are the main ornaments around the room besides the flowers. Plus some other potted plants, and a little mini desktop pegasus that could fit in the palm of your hand. It's alive, just a cute little pet for you!

The set up is much the same as the other room with a walk-in closet and ensuite, a bed big enough for many grandpas to cuddle in. There are far more lights in here though, you wouldn't want to strain your eyes while you're reading or writing. The other major difference there is a demon face down and sprawled on the bed, wings stretched out, an egregiously large and frilly ribbon tied around its tail. Huh!

As you look around, anything you think of that it's missing to feel like home? Well look again and it's there. Don't you like it? You would be happy here, right?

[Hm this is cute isn't it? Just like a place telling him not to go anywhere. He will pet the tiny pegasus and put it on his shoulder, then go sit next to the demon on the bed, tugging his tail lightly.]

You love it right?? You're not going to go anywhere? You like possessiveness.

He huffs for having his tail pulled, and it swishes. "Must you pull tails?"

I cannot help it. You do look to cute not to torment.

Well if that will help make you stay!

"You're a menace." One of his extra large demon hands curls around yours as he rolls onto his side. He uses it to pull you in closer so he can rub some chin spikes against your cheek. An approximation of a kiss? That's the intent anyway. He's gotta find replacements for this.

[He smiles, and since he does have his own powers, pets Vergil's soul gently.]

Oh. He loves that, he curls up to your side, wrapping his tail around you.

"I want you to be happy." For when you stay here forever. Because it's no good to just make you stay against your will, that won't make anyone happy.

I am when I am with you.

[He will kiss his chin, happy to cuddle for a while.]

How many hearts are you going to cuddle in? He laughs, "Why do you think I'm here? I hope that's an important piece."

Well, it wouldn't be the same without you that is true. But it does just prove you're terribly sweet.

"Hmm. You have a lot of nerve calling a demon sweet." But he sounds amused. "I don't see how it's sweet, you already know I'm just trying to entice you."
