Vergil's heart game r2
You feel weak, your body won't move no matter how you try, and you are falling, away from everything you know and love. Away from everything you need to accomplish. If you could just reach out, maybe you could hold on to it, claw your way back. But it's a useless endeavour, you fall unconscious, and your mind goes blank except for poetry and a familiar voice.
O mother Enitharmon, wilt thou bring forth other sons?
To cause my name to vanish, that my place may not be found,
For I am faint with travail,
Like the dark cloud disburden'd in the day of dismal thunder.
My roots are brandish'd in the heavens, my fruits in earth beneath
Surge, foam and labour into life, first born and first consum'd!
Consumed and consuming!
Then why shouldst thou, accursed mother, bring me into life?
You wake on the ground in a cave, cold, wet, and sticky. It smells of rotting flesh. Your objective is clear, but you can't recall a name or face. Nothing else about your memory of him is changed, but for some reason the name "Vergil" just won't come to you, and you couldn't describe how he looks if your life depended on it. But at least your body starts to respond to your will, slowly regaining enough strength to carry on.

Re: URIZEN
[He presses his fingers to the wound, aether glowing in his hand as he heals it.]
I am not opposed to such twisted thoughts. They are somewhat natural in your position.
Re: URIZEN
Again I will do as I so choose."
Re: URIZEN
You do not need to reject it, or deny it to me. But I will not press. My goal is to give you company. To assure you you are not forgotten or unloved. Defeat has not made you worthless. I hope some day you may come to realize it has only strengthened you to become whole.
Re: URIZEN
Instead after a while the roots pull you in, folding around you much like they do over his own body, but specifically to keep you bound to him.
Re: URIZEN
Re: URIZEN
Yes in fact you can. His other hand lifts, and lands on your head, but even though it's heavy that's the worst of it. His fingers and claws thread in your hair. Unfortunately Vergil is soft.
Re: URIZEN
Because, doesn't he?]
Re: URIZEN
And he hates having to curate anything for others. So. This feels very nice. It's probably letting you get away with far more than should be. Congratulations on truly melting Vergil's heart, even Urizen letting you kiss. Guess this is yours, that's the way it is.
A spindly little tree grows up out of the ground with long reaching branches that stretch out to you. One of them stops right in front of your face and grows a single blood red flower. Probably actually made of blood. But it looks and feels normal! For you.
Re: URIZEN
Thank you.
[Because he doesn't care what Vergil has done. Just that he is happy and feels accepted. And has anyone ever told Urizen thank you for anything?]
Re: URIZEN
Of course he still doesn't acknowledge anything but. How can he, Vergil's brain is breaking. He does pet your hair very idly though.
Re: URIZEN
He rests his head on his shoulder, humming contentedly at the petting, squeezing his fingers, voice soft.]
For existing as well. I'd like to thank you.
Re: URIZEN
"For existing?" Do not understand.
Re: URIZEN
Thank you.
Re: URIZEN
Re: URIZEN
Mmhm. But that can be said of the other half of your soul as well. I am thankful to both parts. And the whole.
Re: URIZEN
Re: URIZEN
Yes. There would be only you. And I am fond of and glad for you. I love you as part of Vergil. But it is Vergil I love. So I am grateful to that other half as well.
Re: URIZEN
"You should love me." Is he like legally allowed to say the l word? Only because it's for being demanding and entitled.
Re: URIZEN
[Now he's just being a teasing jerk. He'll try to pull Urizen's face closer.]
Should I? --Ah but you might not get that I am teasing you hm? I do. Is my being with you not proof enough?
Re: URIZEN
"I will not abide your mocking." Won't he?? So placated like this??
Re: URIZEN
Yet you will abide my teasing.
I love you too, by the way.
Re: URIZEN
He goes on glaring! "I said no such thing."
Re: URIZEN
Mmhm.
[That earns a gentle kiss on the mouth.]
Re: URIZEN
"Watch yourself."
Re: URIZEN
Why should I?
