persephone heart game; (run 1)
In the flicker of a candle-flame, in the stir of still water, in the fluttering of flower petals, there is a voice...
Once, there were...
...shadows in the window.
...footsteps at the gates of life.
...whispering at the door:
"Should I live or die? Am I living or dead?"
"To know the world is to choose it," says the Void.

Hiroto's House
The furnishings are pretty nice and what you expect from fantasy Sengoku Japan.
Further back and to the left is a sliding door that leads to a bedroom, and another one leading to a study, on the right. Furthest back of all is a sliding door leading out to the courtyard.
Re: Hiroto's House
Can he try peering into the study? That seems mildly less invasive than bedroom.]
Re: Hiroto's House
anyway, you slide open the door to the study to peek in. there's a low table and lap desk, as well as writing box (the lacquer art on the box is very beautiful. also clearly very expensive) and calligraphy supplies set on the ground near the entrance, clearly made for a rather tall man.
however, further back, off in the back corner of the room, is a small, cute desk that looks like something straight out of sIV. Also there's a bookcase.]
Re: Hiroto's House
Oooh sIV things. Let's check those out.]
Re: Hiroto's House
also there are two lacquered chests. very pretty things. closed.]

the moment you even touch the courtyard door to slide it open, the air itself feels like it's weighing on you, cold and dread. the disorienting feeling of suddenly being in a much smaller, frailer body returns, with this time with the sensation of heavy, large hands on your neck, threateningly, and this continues for as long as you have your hand on the door. do you still open it?]
Re: Hiroto's House
Re: Hiroto's House
it's a lovely courtyard, with well-taken care of plants, dark outside, lit by the full moon overhead.
there's also a very tall -6'5" - broad-shouldered man with long, tied back pale hair, dressed in a dark-colored kimono. he looks very strong and is definitely a big, powerful man.
it's also very obviously, since you've seen Persephone's memories, Miura Hiroto. He hasn't noticed you yet..]

You cannot make me fear you, Miura.
[ It's spoken into the air, more to the idea of him than to the man himself.
As for where to go...
The bedroom seems intrusive, even here, though she does not want to hide from that knowledge, either. And she is sure she would like to check the study. But she has a personal brand, by now, and it makes the courtyard her first choice. ]

...and anger burns in her like a red-hot ember.
Are there any weapons racks around here? She can't imagine Miura Hiroto doesn't have them somewhere in his home—and likely a naginata among them. ]

Fight Fight Fight
You shouldn't be here.
[deep and familiar to those who have seen Persephone's memories, as he reaches out a hand and summons a grand daiklave made of pure sunlight.]
Re: Fight Fight Fight
[He walks straight up to him and pulls out the knife at the last second to try to stab him in the gut.]
Re: Fight Fight Fight
oh wait Emet fought the warrior of variable illumination, he should be used to that, though the faint sunlight liming the blade's edges is definitely something new.]I think not. And that was your chance to leave.
