I am happy that you are, too, my brother. Please take care of yourself and be careful.

[ . . . It's the first time he's referred to him as a brother at all. And he feels genuinely happy. It's not that... it's about the word or anything. But it means that he does, genuinely, care about him. Not that he ever thought Persephone was being false with him.

But sometimes... it is difficult to get a read on his unitmates. ]

Shrike... told him there is a writing box. So if he is able to find pen and paper, then he would like to do that. ]

[you can find paper, writing utensil, and inkstone. you're going to have to grind your ink like in the Old Days.]

[ That is okay. He is an ancient boy and he'll figure out what he needs to do. Time to grind some ink.

Once he does, he will begin on a letter, though. ]

Persephone,

You are like a dear, precious brother to me. I have always admired your quiet strength and dignity. You have many skills that I lack, and the two of us are very different in how we approach the world. Sometimes, I know that we will not always see eye to eye as a result of that.

But I think that is okay, too.

You make up for all of the areas I lack in, and I have always thought that you are an incredible and inspiring person. Whenever I have been upset, or down, I have always known that I could turn to you for guidance, help, or just a gentle, soothing song.

I am eternally grateful for it.

Often, I have felt as though I am at a loss in what I can do to better help you. Your memories are so often very painful and difficult to watch. I am so often upset because I feel that you deserve so much more than what you have experienced.

What I want for you, more than anything, is happiness. And I want you to know that you have already done so much for others. You have not failed the people you love. You have already given more than any one person should ever have to give. You are treasured and loved by so many. Not because you are beautiful or possess spectacular talents. But because of the strength of your character, your gentle kindness, and the warmth of the light you carry inside of you. And you are never alone.

[in the bookshelf, there's a random selection of the books Persephone was reading the most recently - like, literally some library books from Tokyo-F, as well as a half-dozen poetry books that from the way they're made/bound, definitely not mass-produced, were ones he had in his own world.

and there's also a novel there. definitely another Creation-made thing.]

[it's very classical poetry. love poetry. Creation's version of the Ink Dark Moon, basically.]

[the novel is a very bodice-ripper ravishment fantasy involving a youth and an older man. It also subtly (or not subtly) advocates for revolution. either way, it's probably more than Lucifel wanted to know about Persephone's taste in porn.

also there are two lacquered chests. very pretty things, both are open. one just has three envelopes (Shrike, yours, Lucifel's letters to Persephone), and the other is full of envelopes.]

[ He will go to look through some of the envelopes.

But...!! Does he hear a commotion outside? Because he may pause from his search if it is something he can hear. ]

Going to the open window to investigate and see who is out there and involved. ]
