Nemesis Heart - R2

[The first time you try to open your eyes, there is nothing but red.]

A tall, leggy girl of indeterminate age smirks at you from her spot leaned up against the wall in front of the displays. There's a long, red axe strapped to her back, and a purple guitar, and her pink undercut is topped with a flower crown of white and yellow camellias. When she turns to give you a lazy, fangy grin, your insides feel a little goopy, like one of those lava cakes they sell at the pizza delivery.

"You in?"]

[ Goopy feelings- oh god B is going to kill him later. ]

... Sure, I'll give it a try.

[B can deal]

[Requiem (since that's who it is when you can see out of your eyes instead of someone else's rose-color glasses) hands over a sizable arrangement of weeping fig, snowdrops, strawberry blossoms, and hyacinth.

When you touch them it prompts sense memories--wry smirk and snarky check-ins after games and 'you're a good little sister' anxiety and 'I care about you' said enough times that maybe he actually means it, instead of just thinking he does.

When it ends, you're left with a feeling of camaraderie and genuine trust.]

[ Please ignore the way his ears redden in embarrassment once the goopy feelings pass and he fully realizes who it is k thx bye. ]

... This is a nice arrangement.

[She does not, and snickers good-naturedly]

["You're lucky! Kitty hasn't sent me flowers in forever. I'm kinda jealous."

A pause.

"You ain't seen her, have you?"]

I haven't, is she around here somewhere?

[Requiem frowns, making a face.

"Nahhh, probably not around here. You seen Hurricane? He usually knows that kinda thing."]

[ Well he saw A Hurricane... ]

I haven't really run into anyone honestly. You're the first familiar face I saw.

["Oh yeah? I mean, he's supposed to be manning the gates. If he's slacking, I coulda been out there..."

She crosses her arms, brows ridged. "Guess that means you haven't been downstairs, either?"]

I've pretty much just ate some food then came here. I'm not too sure where to head from here.

... If you want a meat bun, I've still got some.

[She looks interested, then sighs. "Can't! Vampire rules, sad to say."

"Anyway, everybody dies in the basement, so don't recommend checking that out. Kitty's house is kinda crap, too. Guess your dorm should be safe if nobody else's been out there? You're gonna need some keys before bugging the kids, I think."]

Avoid the basement, got it.

Where can I get keys from?

["Well, here's one." She lifts the guitar from her back and offers it to him.

"They're just scattered around--some of her important stuff, I guess. If somebody else's in here with you, that'd count too. Just show it to Hurricane, and he should be able to help."]

[ A little surprised to be offered it, but taking the guitar with a small smile. ]

... Is there anything you'd like me to pass on to her if I find her?

[It's a standard acoustic guitar, in black; the edges and frets are all gold-lined and the pick guard in tyrian purple. The position markers on the fretboard are also purple edged in gold, shining little metallic stars. It feels pleasant--fun.]

[Req cocks her head at your question, giving it due consideration.

"Maybe tell her to come down here more. Feels like it's been a while since she let loose." And then she smirks. "Coming from you, it might even work!"]

[ Carefully sliding the guitar onto his back. ]

I'll do my best.

["You've got a good head on your shoulders. You should be fine." She throws him a thumbs up, then walks back out to the street, gesturing for him to follow. "The dorm's just down the street. From there, you should be able to get to the rest."]

[ Following after. ]

Mm, anyone I should be expecting to run into?

["...Nah, you should be good." Then, brighter: "Plus, there's plenty of people at the dorm. You shouldn't be too lonely."

You continue a bit farther down the street before running into the hotel

"Break a leg!" she chirps brightly.]

[ Giving a small nod and smile in return. ]
