We met him later in life - not until we were sixteen. But maybe because of that, he had a big impact on us. Before that... well, it wasn't the same as you, but "he" was kept pretty isolated.
I met Izuku when I was around that age too, in high school. I grew up without friends because I wasn't allowed them at first, and then I figured I didn't need them because I was too busy thinking about getting back at my father.
I guess... I did isolate myself too to a degree, though I can't say what my possibilities would have been before I went to high school.
The difficulty with emotional connections, and the need to stay hidden according to Kiyotaka's will... well, in the end, maybe that was part of his plan, too.
It was easier for him to use us if we didn't have any option but to follow his plan.
Going against Kiyotaka is a difficult path, though. Kiyotaka himself - well, it's almost as though his knowledge encompasses everything. Sometimes, "he" thinks it must.
He knows how to move people, even if they are suspicious of them. He can still maneuver a person who is determined to go against him; he just needs to make them believe that they are going against his wishes, even if they're falling in line with them perfectly.
One "God" of my world. He was the counterpart to my original, and he's the one who killed my original, as well.
He has a plan he's been working on for... years, I think. Since all of us were children. He's moved us through our lives to make sure his plan could come to fruition.
Re: Stage
[he lets out a huff]
I suppose he was a catalyst, almost. For me to realize myself. It's a very specific memory for me. And he was my first real friend.

It's my hope we never encounter him again.

[he sounds like a grade-A villain]

Seems like your "God" should be the devil, though. This Kiyotaka, I mean.

The belief that he should die - that if his world is better off without him, it should be the same for any world.
