Re: Albireo
[ looking over all the books again really quick before he starts to put them away ]
Re: Albireo
what's next brother ]
Re: Albireo
checking out the hourglass ]
Re: Albireo
You can see a number of small fractures along the surface, not quite broken yet but decidedly cracked. ]
Re: Albireo
Dia-san, what is this?
Re: Albireo
[ a gap, before he feels, additionally, ]
The more sand that goes into one part, the heavier it gets, I think - ...
Re: Albireo
Re: Albireo
It's heavy, so if it all pours into one end, then it'll probably break, won't it...?
Re: Albireo
[ carefully beginning to tilt it, with a hand underneath to see if the cracks mean moving it will spill any of the sand ]
Re: Albireo
Re: Albireo
this is gonna be a stupid question but if he were to tilt it so it's completely balanced is there enough space for him to put something underneath so it can be held in place like that
for example,
- a book
- a tupperware box
- a basket full of snacks
(in the meantime he's tightening the tops carefully so nothing's loose) ]
Re: Albireo
did imagine it as being a pretty huge hourglass so like
maybe a thin book ]
Re: Albireo
hmm
oh. plan
while tilting the hourglass so that the human side can start getting filled he's opening his medical boxbag to take out a few rolls of medical tape
to tape over the cracks.
yes. ]
Re: Albireo
Re: Albireo
once he's bandaged the hourglass up he's going to wrap more medical tape around the ends—not on the lids, so they're still unscrewable, but just under them—and then tying them to the rotator handle bits, human end first so it's situated lower than the witch end
then he's going to, deadass, stand here and let it trickle until both sides are even. ]
Re: Albireo
well.
have fun. ]
Re: Albireo
actually he's going to let it be on the human side completely ig so he can go pick out a book and read while he watches it. around the world in 80 days here we go ]
Re: Albireo
Well, it is one of her favorites. ]
Re: Albireo
Will you read it to me, Dia-san?
Re: Albireo
Re: Albireo
Re: Albireo
[ there's a sense of fondness, and
I don't
I don't know how to describe the metaphorical-emotional-narrative reading of a book but that is what is happening ]
Re: Albireo
basking in that. he's following along and flipping the pages as she goes in case she needs that (he is not entirely sure) but he's also, after a point, tilting the hourglass to check that it's roughly half full on both sides before tying the witch side down too ]
Re: Albireo
sides: equal ]
