[ Talon grimaces as he steps into the forest, rubbing a hand over his face while he tries to hold onto his wits and sort through the foreign thoughts bubbling up

[ It isn't a pleasant sensation, and unfortunately... Corruption has slightly infected Talon. He'll feel slightly shaken, and a little dazed.

But running back between him and someone else is a... squirrel?

She has acorns...!! That she is trying to shove at you! Feel better, human friends! ]

Pukyuu! Pukyuu!!

[ Summons his weapon and—oh.

He crouches down to take one of the acorns ]

Thank you...?

[ When he crouches down the squirrel takes this as an invitation to climb up his arm and then dash around his shoulder before finding his face.

Little squirrel paws on his face. ]

Pukyuu~!

[ Is he alright!? ]

[ He smiles softly and reaches up to pet the squirrel gently ]

You shouldn't worry so much. I'll be fine.

Pukyuu~!

[ She will jump down from upon his shoulder then, and run up ahead just a little. ]

Pukyuu~! Pukyuu!

[ THIS WAY HUMANS! ]

You're surprisingly insistent...

[ But he's getting up to follow her ]

[ She leads him over to a tree, which she scrambles up rather quickly. And then onto a branch where a large, large acorn dangles. It's about the size of her own body.

She immediately begins to try and tug and pull... but the acorn does not come loose. It is too big for a squirrel her size to remove from the tree. :(

Dangling from it upside down, she stares at Talon.... ]

Pukyuu...

How does an acorn even get that big?

[ Can he reach it with his weapon? He's going to try anyway ]

[ He can! She will move out of the way for him to do so, even like a good squirrel. ]

[ Using the blade to cut it loose in that case ]

[ *O*

It is free. And the squirrel will come flying over to the acorn to roll all around with it quite happily.

Best HUMANS. Oh!! But she has to return the favor. For a moment, it looks like she might just be digging a hole in the ground as though she intends to bury this gigantic acorn. But it looks like... she has unearthed something near one of the trees?

TA-DA! Please look! She has a gift for you, useful human! It looks... pink? ]

Ah, what's that?

[ Coming over to take the little pink thing for a closer look]

[ It seems to be another scale. This one is pink. It radiates warmth in your palm and glows faintly. You get the feeling that it is something important, and that you should probably hold onto it.

The squirrel will look pretty and proud while Talon takes it. ]

Pukyuu~!

[ he pockets the scale and reaches down to pat the squirrel again ]

Thank you, little one. This will be a big help.

[ He assumes. ]

Pukkyuu~!

[ She did a good! And Talon has acquired another scale! ]
