[ The last of their blows are just too strong for it to recover from or even escape. It lunges back and then trashes from the last blow, releasing a bellowed roar. Its body creaks, miasma pouring from its many wounds. The toxic substance lifts into the air, the smell terrible but rapidly rising up and away as though carried by a breeze and dissipating. In pain, the dragon writhes on the ground, roots and flowers breaking apart and snapping, disintegrating into dust.
It whines, the sound difficult to listen to as the earth that had become so twisted into the shape of a dragon slowly falls away, wilting like that of an overly ripe fruit past its prime and dropping to the ground.
. . . And revealing beneath it an otherworldly white dragon.
The giant creature breathes heavily, exhausted and strained. It lies still as the last of the corruption covering it melts away. It takes several minutes. After a number of deep breaths, its head turns and blue eyes focus upon the party below.
Unlike before, the creature in front of you now carries with it no ill will. If anything, there is a sense of purity and relief in the air. Though perhaps it is still somewhat disconcerting, as slitted eyes pierce you as though looking into your very soul.
After a moment, it lowers its head and releases a huffed breath against the party, eyes closing, as though a sign of apology or thanks. ]
[He does back up a bit as the dragon lifts its head into a roar, and it's only once it's clearly the white dragon returned to its proper self that he lowers his guard again even a little bit.]
H-haa... that corruption really did a number on you too, huh...?
[ It is clearly exhausted, but blue eyes peek open before it carefully bumps its head in against Izanagi, tilting in against him. Corruption-- pain, injuries, he will feel as those slowly begin to heal, wounds closing and the pain beginning to recede into the background. ]
[ The dragon makes a noise, rumbling from somewhere deep in its throat, but it's not an aggressive sound. They can all rest, for now. Izanagi will get the sense that if he desires to go home, now, he merely needs to ask and it will be so. The dragon can return him back to where he belongs.
Though, not long after defeating the corruption, which seems to be slowly melting away from the trees and vegetation in the area as it disintegrates, the stern-looking man from the statue earlier, appears. The dragon will peek up from it's position with the others as they heal to regard him, and the man will dip into a low bow. ]
Lord Hakuryuu-
[ He's very reverent ]
It is a relief to see that you have been freed.
[ And he does look relieved, before turning his attention to Izanagi and the others. ]
Thank you for getting rid of the corruption. We would not have been able to rid it of the heart on our own.
[ He gets. Another huffed breath in response against him. But he'll feel, probably more than see due to his position on the ground now, as a tail begins to curl carefully around him.
And as it does, his injuries begin to slowly fade, and the corruption from his body disapate. ]
[ He manages to flop on the tail. It curls around him, allowing him to rest for a moment. He has earned a break.
Around them, the corruption in the surrounding area that coats the trees and earth slowly seems to be melting away, revealing a more healthy and vibrant forest in its wake.
. . . At least the areas that were not smashed up. Those areas are still smashed up. ]
[ CORRUPTION DEFEAT ]

Re: [ CORRUPTION DEFEAT ]
He's our friend, too. Of course we would come to his aid if he needed it.
Re: [ CORRUPTION DEFEAT ]
If you're so sorry, pamper me a little.

Finally... It is good to see you back to yourself.

He'll feel as soon as the dragon's claw touches him the pain in his body begin to fade, and his injuries begin the process of sealing shut. ]
Re: [ CORRUPTION DEFEAT ]
What about your own injuries? That fight could not have been easy on you either.
