[ if you're not going to turn around, then he is. he's spent the last chunk of time debating it really, so the hesitation isn't necessary. he'd already decided when aries died after all, and he'd certainly rather not be eaten.

he does think for a moment and then sits down. this is going to hurt, he realizes, and take longer than he'd like, actually. the idea of cutting his throat seems way more uncomfortable. and he'll have to really go deep, but on the other hand, at least this is fairly easy to do unassisted.
