Then, to make up for it—we can get rid of those pests for you.
[ a pause ]
In truth, we did come here with some purpose. Those flowers have, we noticed, taken over quite a bit of this area—and wherever we have gone, we have gotten rid of the overgrowth. There is another with an abundance of that overgrowth as well, but it is locked away—so we sought to find something that would allow us entry.
[ there's a pause ]
Though, with how barred it is, I understand if you don't care for us to enter. It might be wiser to allow someone else to enter that place—someone closer than we—in which case, we'll quietly retreat from your realm as soon as we are capable of it.
[ There's a hum -- a very thought noise, from Absinthe, as he strolls closer to the bars. Then keeps walking, pacing back and forth. ]
I'm aware of this .. infestation. And I do appreciate the efforts in removing it. But still, the fact remains that you are poking your nose around here, hmm? Not letting things rest.
When it became clear whose heart it was -- still, did you choose to continue? Did you wish to see inside every nook and cranny, hmm? I would not put it past you.
I'm sure there would be a number of rooms I could have explored if that was the case—and indeed, I was curious to know why so many rooms were boarded up—but.
We have only entered two other rooms besides this, and it was entirely in removing the infestation—really, those rooms were initially visited when we were still getting our bearings and still without a clue as to whose inner self this was. But aside from those rooms and this, we've not explored a single space, and the two rooms we did explore, we cut down the overgrowth.
If you do not believe me, you can surely see—[ with a gesture again to the flowers that are dying away here ]—that would be our handiwork.
[ a beat ]
If you so desire for us to leave the barred and chained room alone—if it is so vulnerable that you would rather lose it to the overgrowth than allow us to see it—then, very well. Perhaps someone else can reach that place instead, if they can manage it.
In fact, if you are so distrusting of us, then we can remain here in this place, where you can keep an eye on us. Surely we could not offend you further that way.
[ glancing to doodle, shhh, before looking back to absinthe—btw is there any visible infestation still actually budding in the room/on absinthe or is it pretty much clear ]
I can scarcely imagine we would be here for longer than through the night—we cannot remain trapped in your heart forever.
Besides that, such a hallowed place should hardly be viewed as a source of entertainment. We can keep to ourselves.
Re: KIDNAPPING TOWER
[ subtly or not-so-subtly looking to the star of bethlehem and wild oats, before actually tipping his head toward them ]
Don't those bother you?
Re: KIDNAPPING TOWER
Yes, but there's little I can do about them here.
[ Actually -- even those flowers seem to have been losing some life, too ... ]

Re: KIDNAPPING TOWER
. . . In the first place, it wasn't clear that this was yours, until we did start moving—and at that point,
[ he presses his hand to his chest, where his new scar is ]
Your realm already lashed out at us. Even so, we have not touched anything that wasn't directly related to that infestation.
Surely you cannot blame us for being trapped in a realm we did not choose to enter—surely that much, you can at least understand?

[cAN WE NOT]

You would grow rather bored down here, hmm? There is hardly any entertainment.
[ aka, he'd think they'd try to break out in some way. ]
